We believe that everyone who is fighting for a better future deserves to be encouraged to never give up. We are here to help them to persist through their challenges and praise the courage with which they maintain their struggle against overwhelming odds.

One patient with high-risk cancer had a mastectomy at age twentynine. At thirty-one, she had advanced Stage IV cancer with widespread massive liver and bone involvement and, subsequently, extensive lung metastases. She also had an amazingly strong will to live.
“I would get out of bed every morning as if nothing was wrong,” she once said. “I may have known I was going to have to face things and could feel sick during the day, but I never got out of bed that way. There was a lot I was fighting for. I had a three-year-old child, a wonderful life, and a magical love affair with my husband.”
Thirty years later, she is still alive, still on chemotherapy, and still living an active life.

"I have seen my mother, a smart, beautiful and strong woman, being shattered because she thought she was “supposed to” put others above herself, even if that meant them taking advantage of her good nature. She has been yelled at, taunted, humiliated, threatened, laughed at, broken mentally by people she considered to be her friends and family. All because she never stood up for herself until it was too late. She's now one of the most powerful women in my life and I hope to be like her someday. She taught me to never give yp in life. I will never give up on her until the very very end."
