Jimmy had the Dirty Bird and I had the City Slicker. Both were delicious!

The restaurant is along the Guntersville loop ride that we like to do on the bikes. It really is a beautiful ride.

Callie got her hair cut last week.

We went to Reagan at Cosmetique in Fort Payne. I was so thankful for Reagan taking the time to really talk with Callie and educate her on how to properly brush your hair. (Why do kids always listen better to someone else instead of their mom? 🙃🙈) Reagan even braided Callie's hair after finding out that Callie LOVES all kinds of braids!

We went cruising today and stopped here for some lunch. It was tasty! I had the Steak Um sandwich and it was amazing. The service was great, too!

Our eggs are hatching!!! 🐣

My friend let me borrow her incubator and we stuffed it full of what we hope are fertile eggs.

For the last 19 days, the kids have been watching the temperature and humidity like helicopter parents! They've even been talking to them! It's adorable 😂

Today we noticed that two of the eggs have started to hatch. If you listen to the video, you can even hear them peeping! Can you hear them, too?

Everyone, including the animals, is safe.

Friday's high winds blew our alpaca shelter over.

It's made from an aluminum carport and some reclaimed tin. We used 3 foot rebar to stake it into the ground.

The high winds didn't care.

Thankfully, we have some amazing friends (more like family!) that helped us tip it back over again.

No one was hurt and the alpacas have their barn back. A win-win!

These plastic hair clips are finally coming back! Lol!

I love the idea of these clips, but they just won't stay in my super fine hair. They literally just slide right out 🙈

Enter in this helpful hack...

All you need is a hot glue gun! Just put a few dots of hot glue on the inside of the clip and let it dry.

Now your clip stays exactly where you put it!

was due for her rabies shot today.

Keeping her rabies shot up to date is vital because she is exposed to animals that transmit the disease on a regular basis.

Not only do we want to protect her, but this protects us as well because humans can become infected.

This farm is her happy place, which means when she leaves it, she gets anxious... and pukes.

Thankfully, her vet understands this and provides medication for the car ride AND makes sure she is comfortable in the office. We love Dr. G and his patient staff!

All went well today and she is obviously happy about that!

A fairy egg is a small egg that is usually laid by a hen as she's beginning her laying cycle.

Basically, a Braxton-Hicks egg. 🙃

Callie came running in the house, "We've got a problem! One of the chickens is tangled up!"

We ran outside and sure enough one of the hens had both of her feet tangled up in a feed bag string.

Callie caught the chicken AND untangled her (all while chatting😂🙈)

I used my knife to cut the last piece of string and our hen was off again.

It is so important to keep an eye on our animals. They can get into all kinds of trouble and the chances you are able to help them are much better if you're watching.

A special thanks to Dr. G and staff for taking awesome care of 💗

I was concerned about taking her in for her annual shots because I know she gets carsick. When a 100+ pound dog gets carsick, it's not pretty. Trust me.

She also does NOT like closed-in spaces. I get it! I'm claustrophobic, too, girl!

She received some calming meds and was a little nervous, but did NOT get sick! Hallelujah!

She even made some new friends!

By the time we got back into the truck, she was getting a little too confident! 😂 She rode on the console all the way home like a BOSS!

If Jimmy asks, that crack was already in the console before today...
