There is something soooo peaceful about an early spring evening. This is one of my favorite early spring bloomers-the chartreuse and lime green is perfection!

What should you look for when buying tulips? What is the optimal stage for the longest vase life? Look for closed, compact, tulip flowers!!! Tulips will continue to open and close each day, especially as temperatures and light fluctuate. While open, fluffy, tulips are beautiful, half their vase life is already gone at this point!!! So if you are spending the money, get the most bang for your buck, and look for tulips that are not blown open yet. Closed tulips 👏👏👏 Blown open tulips 😞😞😞😞

Pinch ‘yo zinnias!!!! I know it is so hard to do. Trust me, I’ve snipped off the first bud on my zinnias and it kills me, but I know the payoff is WORTH it!!!
