First week of Fair is done, and these are the ONLY photos I’ve taken! 😆 so this is officially an appreciation post for our amazing crew!

We have been so so busy, and our crew is absolutely crushing it! The days are long, and the lines even longer, they have been working their butts off the entire time, and there are still smiles on their faces at the end of day. That’s a great feeling as a boss.

We are all thankful the fair is closed today and Tuesday! We will be rested up and back in action on Wednesday for another great week at the Humboldt County Fair!

We are busy gearing up for August 21-September 2, AND we’ll be in the same spot, The Turf Club, for the third weekend of horse races, September 7 & 8.

Reminder: the food truck is CLOSED this month as we prep and open at the Humboldt County Fair. We open up an entire restaurant from scratch in 10 days, so it takes quite a bit of man power leading up to it!

Rodeo Week Recap 🤠🍗
Monday- Chili Cook Off (just the truck, didn’t compete)

Wednesday & Thursday- Junior Rodeo slinging food and beer all day, and got to watch Kade win the Steer Riding Champion buckle, and 2nd place in Chute Do***ng

Friday-busted out a 6 foot tall fried chicken drumsick and decorated the entire float while the food truck was serving all day

Saturday-had all sorts of fun in the parade, and finished the day watching Kade ride at Bulls, Bands, Broncs & Brews, which I hope to never see a ride like that again 🫣 he got tangled up pretty good for a no score

We’re continuing the fun in Fortuna this weekend at AutoXpo, where we will be parked in front of Redwood Thrift for the Friday Night Cruise 2-7ish (whenever the cruise is done) and Saturday 11-4. 💜

Growing up in Fortuna, Rodeo Week is not only a requirement, it’s the most important time of the year! Every year, third week of July, it’s on…in fact, I’ve missed it. But this was my first time being IN the parade, and it just might be my new favorite part. Fat Anne’s even took the title of “most comical” 😊 it was so fun seeing all the reactions to the giant fried chicken, you guys loved it just as much as I did!

has done it, he is headed to National Junior Finals Rodeo! He placed 🏆3rd🏆 in California in both Junior Bull Riding and Ba****ck Steer Riding, and is representing Team California! Nationals are held Jun 23-29 in Des Moines, Iowa and due to the long and costly trip, Kade is fundraising to help cover the cost of travel and lodging costs.

🚨🚨🚨EUREKA: May 30th will be the last day for Fat Anne’s Food Truck in Eureka, and this is the ONLY time the buckets of chicken will ever be offered in North County!
