2023 Update

Unfortunately we will not be doing our Christmas Light show this year.

The number of hours it takes to put the show together combined with my work schedule just became to overwhelming this year.

We will be back next year bigger and better! Thank you all who have supported the Cimi-Light Show.

Last Chance

Tonight and tomorrow (1/6 & 1/7) will be the last two days for the light show. The show will run from 5-10:30 both nights, then we start breaking it down.

The show is running tonight 1/5 now until 10:00pm. We plan on running through Saturday 1/7 weather permitting. So if you missed it please come out until you have to wait until next year!

12/31 update: Unfortunately we will be not running the show for the next couple days. We will try to do an encore next week for a few days if we can get it running.

The show seems to be running okay tonight, so it will run from 5-10pm tonight 12/28.

Again, don’t wait…with the melting snow and rain all bets are off if we can run the next few days.

With the rain and warm up coming melting the snow, there is no guarantee the show will run past Wednesday. So if you wanted to see it, we recommend coming out today or tomorrow.

UPDATE: We will be open tonight Christmas Eve 12/24 from 5:00 -10:30pm.

Here is more info about the third annual Cimi-Light Show on Ski Hill:

Fox River Grove, IL 60021

We doubled the show again this year and now have over 40,000 lights synchronized to music. The show uses over 300 channels of lights connected to 21 computer boards.
Hours

Sun - Thurs: 5:00pm - 10:00pm (last show starts at 10:00)
Fri - Sat: 5:00pm - 10:30 (last show starts at 10:30)

The show is 19 min long with a 11 min break in between. So it will run ever half hour on the hour. The lights will be all on and non-moving in between shows with a countdown on the big tree. If you see this please park safely on shoulder (on the house side of the street), turn on hazards and turn off headlights.
Tune your radio to 99.1 FM to listen from your car.
Please be mindful of traffic, you can park on the shoulder on the west side of the street (same side as house) with hazards on.

With the condition of our street we decided to remain closed tonight 12/23 for the plows to get through. We should be up and running tomorrow.

For the safety of everyone we will be CLOSED tonight 12/22. We prefer that everyone stay in and safe tonight and also allow and easy path for the plows to clean the road in front of the display. We will update tomorrow and see what the weather brings.
