2024 TASTE OF TALENT VOCAL COMPETITION -- AUDITION PACKETS DUE MONDAY, MAY 13! The Franklin Fine Arts Council will host the 14th Annual Taste of Talent (TOT) Vocal Competition this summer at Bandstand Park in Downtown Franklin, PA. The competition is open to individual soloists ages 16 & up. Competitions will be held on Wednesdays, June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24 at 7 PM. Semi – Finals will take place on Saturday, August 3 at 7 PM and the finals will be held Sunday, August 4 at 4 PM. The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 sponsored by Franklin-Oil Region Credit Union. The Taste of Talent Application packet is available at: www.franklinpa.gov/events

Our 2016 Taste of Talent Champion Randy Moorehead has joined the community theatre ranks for this upcoming production of "School of Rock".

The Barrow's Applefest show is ready to rock. Literally. ​ There are kids playing real instruments and rocking out in this production of School of Rock.

For years she worked side by side with her husband Bill, and when he passed she gave , and continues to give, tirelessly of herself to make Franklin “ALWAYS eventful.”

Ronnie .. you are appreciated and loved more than you can imagine ❣️❣️❣️

Today is a special day where I live, y’all. I don’t know how many of you that know me are familiar with Franklin, PA, but it’s a picturesque city in northwestern PA. It’s reminiscent of the town I grew up in, in a lot of ways. It’s Always Eventful. Most importantly, today is Ronnie Beith Day in Franklin. For those that knew her, Ronnie was a radiant soul and more than a few of us musically inclined folks referred to her as our “musical mother.” She was known to some as “the Rose of Franklin,” the most beautiful flower in a beautiful garden. She gave me a chance a few years ago to sing, and this page exists because of her. I wouldn’t be chasing this dream without her support, love and encouragement.
Many of you know that she passed away earlier this year, and the world’s light is dimmer without her already. But heaven’s light is all the more bright, and with that in mind, I have something for you, and for Ronnie today. This song was originally written about Marilyn Monroe, and later, re-worked for Princess Diana. With the Taste of Talent season approaching, Ronnie’s passing weighed heavily on my mind, and this re-work came of that. I’ve shared this with two people before now, but I wanted to wait for today to share it publicly, because it is, in fact, Ronnie Beith Day in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
We miss you, Ronnie. And we love you. You’re always with us, in the hearts of those who love you still.

Our 14th Annual "Taste of Talent" season has come to a close. Here is a recap of our finals show held yesterday in Bandstand Park in Franklin.
