Looking through Aubree + Logan’s (11.11.23)wedding photos, this one stopped me suddenly and I wanted to share another “stories I tell” that are attached to my heart. First let me introduce the sweetest Jr Bridesmaid ever, Maisley. She is standing on stones and you can see they are broken in many places. We placed these stones for a standing surface for the wedding party at the ceremony site at The Arling. These stones take me way back to my childhood at our church park. A place very special to my past. Lots of special memories. Years ago someone vandalized our park and broke all the vintage tables and benches. As they were going to be hauled off I asked to keep them. So they are still with me. No longer tables and benches, but a sure foundation in my heart.

I’ve known her almost her whole life and we share a common love for what’s growing around us so when she called me Friday to tell me about hydrangea cuttings she had in her truck and was headed my way I was so excited beyond words as we were decorating for Anne-Claire and Jacob’s wedding. An Old Hollywood theme without greenery and suddenly all the white-blush hydrangea blooms exploded all down the center of the head table along with the vintage shelf display dividers and floating candles and I’m just so thankful for her.
