I am continually in awe of my husband Roy and his dedication to 'walking the walk', or in this case, 'rowing the row,' in support of the metal health of our veteran community, and well, his continued ability to 'one up' his methods of doing so. And, of course, his belief that even his body, after 31-years active duty, can do anything it sets out to do. 😉 True story, I married a crazy, albeit incredible, man.

I am sure the phrase 'fair winds and following seas' will begin to take on a much deeper meaning over the next year. 🌊

The below announcement was posted by the aforementioned husband, last night. Oh, and yes, it does mean we will be coming to you for monetary and/or service (attorney+accountant for setting up and tracking the non-profit) donations over the next year. 15 Landsdowne will also be hosting some amazing pop-up dinners for 'the cause'. Whether you are looking to become a sponsor, or simply donate $20 to the cause, we will have ways for you to become part of this epic challenge.

📢 Exciting Announcement 📢

We are thrilled to announce the creation of a remarkable team of four Army Rangers who will be taking on the incredible challenge of the World's Toughest Row – Pacific 2025. 💪🚣‍♂️

May I present to you Team “RangeOARs Lead The Way”
Introducing our dedicated and courageous team members who will be embarking on this awe-inspiring journey: Myself, Chris K***z, Jere Hartman, and Michael Kendall.

Together, on June 8th, 2025, we will be rowing a staggering 2800 nautical miles, unassisted from Monterey, California to the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. 🌊🌴 We are certainly blessed to have Chris on board. Chris completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (now World’s Toughest Row) 3000nm Atlantic Challenge in 2018.

Our mission is not only to test our limits but also to raise funds for deserving veteran organizations. We believe in giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country, especially in the realm of mental health and fitness. 🇺🇸

None of this could be possible without the invaluable support of our families and our Ranger brother Guy Philips, who, as a matter of fact recently completed the World’s Toughest Row- Atlantic 2023 Challenge. Guy now owns an ocean-rowing RX45 (pictured below) and has graciously allowed us to row her across another ocean. 🌊

Guy's experience and knowledge gained from rowing 3000 nautical miles from La Gomera to Antigua, alongside Ranger brothers Joe Leach, Craig Foreman, and Dave Figgins, will serve as a wealth of guidance and inspiration as our coach on this remarkable journey. 🌟

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to embark on this extraordinary adventure and invite you to join us in supporting our cause. Stay tuned for updates and ways to contribute to our fundraising efforts! Together, we can make a difference for our deserving veterans. 🎗️

Happy Monday!

So, we wanted to take a moment to talk about Shrimp Salad and what happens when you change the mayonnaise brand and specific shrimp you purchase. 😉

Last week we were unable to get ahold of both our mayonnaise and our preferred 100% natural shrimp. We substituted what we believed to be brands that were equal in quality and taste. Turns out our most amazing die hard Shrimp Salad lovers noticed! For that, we are eternally sorry. We hope you can forgive a one-time shrimp injustice. 😊

This week we are able to get everything we ‘normally’ purchase and all should be good once again in the shrimp salad universe. 😊

Now barring being forever shunned for crustacean crimes (we’ve heard stories 🥹), if you purchased our Shrimp Salad last week, and were less than thrilled at the aforementioned imposter, please feel free to return to the point of purchase and they will happily give you the authentic’ salad. Of course you’ll have to wait until Friday or Saturday as we are currently in New Hampshire (where all ‘crustacean criminals abscond’ to. I’m not sure I’ve ever typed those words together before) 😛

Thanks so much for your understanding and we promise we won’t become repeat offenders!

“These are the only photos from friends I have so far and none capture the grandeur of the quality of the event in our mind. Know we are still reeling with happiness of how well the rehearsal dinner lobster event turned out. You performed even better than expected and our expectations are extremely high. I will forward professional photos when we receive them.
Thank you Mia, for everything! It was outstandingly spectacular!”

What a gift to work for such incredible clients.

Wow-how did it get to be mid-June already? 15 Landsdowne has been beyond busy the last month or so with fabulous weddings, Lobster Bake Rehearsal dinners, The Lawrenceville School, Princeton Theological, Polo matches and lots of other fabulous celebrations. Summer and fall are our busiest seasons, and this summer is proving no different, with English Garden parties, trips into Manhattan for some fun events, and of course, the Lobster Bake next month (more on that later.)

This fall we head to one of the gorgeous Greek islands to begin the planning+logistics for an incredible wedding for one of our MOST favorite clients, taking place next year. To answer the obvious question, no this is not a 'catering' event, but, rather, it is on the production side of the company. In the course of my career I have been blessed to have done some amazing destination weddings; there really is nothing like it. 😀 Of course I am beyond blessed to have a great team that will ensure everything goes off beautifully.

So stay-tuned for some photos of the events of the last few weeks. There may only be a few, and in many instances it is because our clients prefer to remain under-the-radar, but I promise, they were all beyond fun to be part of.

Last night, we decided to have some mom and son time last night and made our way to It's Nutts in Titusville for dinner.

We had some great fried chicken (seriously, the crust is beyond light and crispy.) I have to say I love their coleslaw, along with the people watching opportunities. After seeing so many of the tables around us ordering their tomato pies, next time we will be sure to order one. To finish the night right we had to get some soft serve. A perfect place for some parent-child bonding. (Of course, that’s my take, I’m hoping the boy thinks the same 😛)

I have so many memories from when it was Huber’s. I grew up in Solebury/Lahaska and my best friend lived in Washington’s Crossing (PA side). Often when I would spend the night at her house her dad would drive over the bridge and bring back their fried chicken. Some of my favorite childhood memories. 😊

The journey today took us to the official ‘beginning of summer restaurant’ of my childhood…Dilly's At Centre Bridge.

PS I texted Roy (the husband,) where we were. I think there were tears. (He is in Florida doing Ranger things with the Hard Rock Charlie Foundation.) Hey-what can Dagon and I say? Sorry, not sorry?!😛

PSS I have noticed a soft serve theme (this time WITH jimmies) going through our choices lol

I mean how fabulous is the idea of dining amongst the vines that produced the wines paired with dinner at one of the most beautiful vineyards in our area? 🍇

Such an incredible evening for 15 Landsdowne Catering at the Hunterdon Art Museum. It is always such a joy to share an evening in such a spectacular setting.

As always amid service we are the worst at remembering to take photos. 😬 Not to mention brown foods don’t necessarily make for gorgeous photos. Basically, we beg, borrow and steal photos from those who were there and are willing to share! ;)

The space was incredible, the flowers by Adriene Presti Aifd and Dahlia were beyond words. And finally, as always, our staff were amazing.

We hope all who attended enjoyed attending as much as we enjoyed having you. ❤️

I often get asked what my 'do or die' food is.

If I were to discuss my perfect, I made it myself, last meal, it would look something like this:, a spectacularly built, run-down-your-arm when bitten, cheeseburger. A burger topped with caramelized onion jam the BEST Roquefort cheese, some roasted garlic aioli, a thick slice of juicy summer Jersey tomato, and crispy iceberg lettuce on a gorgeous brioche bun+ hand cut french fries (yes, double-fried,) and a few perfectly crispy onion rings. Seriously, to me, THIS is PERFECTION. I am a cheap date!

There really is something primal about a cheeseburger. When you use freshly ground beef (chuck/short-rib+brisket blend) it can be transformative. Whether you love a Juicy Lucy, the steamed burgers of New England, a Banh Mi pork burger (OMG the pickles on this one as life-changing), an amazing handmade veggie burger or anything in between, it is just the PERFECT comfort food.

For me, a burger is also the food that brings back so many amazing memories for me. Whether at Dilly’s Corner, signifying the OFFICAL start of summer, or cooked in our backyard when my husband returned home from yet another deployment to Afghanistan-a cheeseburger hits every note of home.

A burger it’s convivial, not guided by the need to be over-the-top or pretentious. A phenomenally made burger is lush on its own. It is so simple its ingredients MUST be perfect, and the attention paid to making it should not be taken lightly. Like I said a cheeseburger is my EVERYTHING food.

Join 15 Landsdowne as we celebrate all things BURGER on Sunday, February 11th with a fabulous Tasting Room dinner: THE BURGER: A LOVE STORY. Seatings are available at 3PM and 5:30PM.

Because, LOBSTER!

15 Landsdowne is throwing a seasonally inappropriate, ridiculously fun, butter drenched, winter Lobster Bake (also known by Mia's much wordier title: ONE FISH, TWO FISH, THREE FISH, SHELLFISH,) on Saturday, February 3rd.

Because we are the boss of us, and you have asked so nicely, we’ve added a few more seats to the 5PM seating. 😉 So, grab some friends (and yes, we have a non-lobster option for the land lovers,) and have a wonderfully hands-on, laughter-inducing evening with us! We promise to supply bibs, copious amounts of butter, and napkins!

For more information, and to make reservations (REQUIRED) please visit: www.15Landsdowne.com/tasting_room

PS In our minds the energy used to crack and enjoy lobster should count as winter exercise, yes?
