This weekend I got to photograph one of my oldest friends as she prepares to become a mama 🥹 I got to watch all her closest friends and family shower her and her growing family with love (and presents) then whisk her off to snap a couple maternity memories. The camera has always loved her as long as I’ve known her, and as I go through these photos and enjoying a snowy editing day, I see that hasn’t changed. 😍😍

It’s that time of year where I come out of the woodwork and post on instagram for the first time in, like, a year. 😂 Tis the season for fall photos! I got to start my season with this face. THIS. FACE! Mom and dad were so sweet too, and have a little one on the way! I hope I get this lens in her face too, because they make some CUUUUUUUUTE babies!

Every now and then you get a shot that doesn’t really artistically “wow” anyone, but you can just see how wonderful and sweet this family is. And this shot makes me smile. The end.

Is this my normal “style”? No. Do I feel l even have a “style”? Not really.

As a photographer, you want your client to know what vibe they’re going to get immediately when they look at your portfolio. But then, I don’t want to be limited to warm, well-lit, happiness (though I do truly love it!) The fact of the matter is, light is light, and as long as you know how to use it, the photos will be great. I’m obsessed with this shoot because it’s so unlike what I normally do!

Just like we all have moods, can’t our photos too!?

Thinking about a princess mini session setup for all the tiny Rapunzels out there who also think a tiara goes with everything. I checked out Lemon Drop Studios and was really impressed with their options! And how accommodating they were since I got stuck there with a car that wouldn't start. Do you guys have a princess who needs her time in the limelight?!😍
