In 2015 we founded Melissa’s Creations, LLC. Ever since I was little girl I was detail oriented, I loved being a creative. Melissa’s Creations initially started as a party favors company in 2012. My perspective was continuing to create party favors for events however I would spend hours and hours creating small favors and working from home. This became very tiring and mundane for me. A couple short years into my new found career I decided to completely change the direction of the company and decided to officially register the company. We registered it as a floral design company. Upon registering I decided I wanted to do dedicate my time to flowers. This decision came after I designed all the details of our wedding with the exceptions of the flowers. I discussed the idea of changing the direction with my husband Adolfo Carrillo. He advised that since I loved flowers that maybe I should take the profession seriously. I then became a fulltime florist. I took various classes to expand my creativity and to develop the design portion of the business. This is how the company began.
I love creating unique designs for clients. I love putting together different flowers and colors together to make unique arrangements. Creating a floral design to me means choosing and creating colors that accent each other perfectly and putting them together in a harmony. This awakens the deepest feelings in the eyes of our clients which I love. Every floral design is designed with extra love and care. My inspiration comes directly from my daughter Melissa who is no longer with us. Whenever I create my designs I keep her in mind. She is the root of my inspiration and designs. The company is named after her. Melissa is just a reminder to always do the best in honor of her name. Aside from my daughter I also get it from small details. The details are often shared by our clients during our consultations. I get to know my clients by asking favorite colors and likes and dislikes to capture their inspiration and vision to align them with mine based off of their ask.
Melissa’s Creations is headed by El Tiempo Latino newspaper, Univision, Telemundo, DC Magazine and Modern Luxury weddings featured designer and owner Rebeca Padilla and Adolfo Carrillo.
