For years, every time I visited my best friend, we'd make the short hike up Jasper K**b in Ishpeming, and I'd often talk about wanting to do a session there. So, when Drew brought up the idea of having their engagement session at that very spot, I was thrilled! Not only are they a picture-perfect couple, but we also caught the early hints of autumn, and the light and weather couldn't have been more perfect, all making for a truly stunning session!

Jacob + Kristin
A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of getting to know these two while we were photographing Kristin's brother's wedding! It was fantastic because we chatted about how she met Jacob and we planned their engagement session in Marquette, where their love story began. The outfits and lighting and locations were all too good! Blessed yet again to get to do what we love on another perfect summer evening with amazing people.

As we drove between the two locations during their session, I glanced at Cohl and remarked that these two truly epitomize beauty in a person, not to mention how sweet and how adorable with each other they were! They made the session so easy, and we had such a great time hanging out! Can't wait for their wedding next summer!

The photos don't reveal that we simply pulled over on the highway to reach the Whitefish River, a favorite fishing spot of Nick's, for their engagement shoot. We were graced with the dreamiest golden hour and shared laughter throughout the evening. The anticipation for their wedding next summer is already building!

Mr. & Mrs. Poisson
Lucas and Emily are some of the most down-to-earth, cool and chill people I have ever known. We were all trying to beat the storm for the ceremony but just as the wedding party was walking down the aisle, it started down pouring! They made the call to move the ceremony indoors (luckily, they had planned for this scenario at rehearsal!) and everything continued with hardly any delay. Despite the hiccup, everyone handled the situation with such grace, and the rest of the day was perfect!

I told myself I'd start sharing only a few photos from each session or wedding, but with sessions as amazing as this, I just can't help myself! We were expecting a storm during Alex and Olivia's engagement shoot, but we took the chance anyway. Luckily, we stayed dry, and instead, we were treated to the most dramatic dark clouds, which gave way to a stunning sunset and that perfect golden hour glow.

We are officially booked up for Fall and will be closing our calendar for the rest of 2024! Once we catch up on editing after October, we might open a few spots for couple’s studio sessions through the winter, but we won't be taking on any outdoor sessions until spring. We’re so grateful for your ongoing support—it means the world to us!

We had the absolutely beautiful privilege of capturing a secret proposal!
Zach reached out to us asking if we would be interested in helping him plan and propose to his girlfriend on their one-year anniversary. They are both from downstate but wanted to take a trip up here to celebrate. Zach had plans in the works for a while and it was so sweet to hear him list off all the "lies" he had to tell Maddie over the past couple weeks in order to keep this all from her. What an absolute gem! Her reaction was priceless and she immediately had to call family to let them know and show off that rock.
We couldn't have been more thrilled to help plan and be a part of this insanely sweet life event!

Our photography sessions usually end on a positive note, but sometimes, they spark a unique creative moment. That was the case with Taylor and Ryan's engagement photoshoot—it was a special experience. We met at a Marquette beach, where the humid air blurred the horizon over Lake Superior. Halfway through, we all decided to jump into the lake to cool off and get some cool shots and we couldn't be more obsessed!
To us, every wedding is special, and we approach each one with equal parts enthusiasm and dedication. However, Taylor and Ryan's infectious excitement for their special day has us especially thrilled. They've set the bar high with promises of exuberant dancing – and that's the kind of energy we live for.

While we were down in Florida, we met up with Bubba and Kassy for their engagement session! First we went to the Marie Salbie Botanical Garden (highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in Sarasota!) and then we headed down to the beach for a perfect sunset! We cannot wait for their wedding next year!!
