It’s crazy how time flies! We are currently getting everything ready for our first wedding of the 2024 season! Last year around this time we were hustling to get the table built and ready for our first bride to took a chance on us. I thought it was a busy week last year, when I would have 2 to 3 new inquiries come in. Fast-forward a year later and this week, I’ve collected five payments, sent out four new invoices, and have also responded to around two dozen inquiries, not including the multiple messages in my social media inboxes. Amongst all of the booking activities, I’ve also spent the week giddy as can be receiving the first few shipments containing the STUNNING florals that will help kick off Juliette’s garden- all just in time for a headshot photo shoot I have planned in the upcoming weeks.

Ugh! I am so so so beyond excited for everything in store, and I’m so appreciative to those who are helping us continue to grow. I cannot believe this entire operation that is running like a well oiled machine is the same operation that just started with a little Facebook post saying would anyone wanna rent tables for half the price if we built them. MAN, we have come such a long freaking way! I really feel like one day I just woke up and everything was just exploding. If I knew everything that was to come at the time I truly think I would’ve never leaned into it because I wouldn’t have given myself the credit that I was capable of pulling it off. But here we’re are and I’m SO glad I was so blind going in hahaha. I absolutely love what I’m doing, but I knowww I would not have had the confidence. And of course I am beyondddd thankful to my better half because I quite literally wouldnt have a reason to operate this business without him 🥹🤍🤍

If you haven’t heard yet, Romeo & Juliette Rentals is launching the area’s very first Premium Floral Rental Collection- and we’re calling it Juliette’s Garden!!

Juliette’s Garden will be a collection of, real-to-the-touch, floral installations, renting central to the Lake George & Saratoga area. Each rental will be a hyperrealistic work of art, boasting of cost effectiveness & sustainability. Blooming with natural beauty, the collection will be hand crafted, by Juliette- exclusive to the use of premium hand painted & 3D printed florals, in dedication of capturing the natural essence of each floral, down to the raised veins that can be felt in each petal.

Breaking news!! I honestly don’t know how I did it, and in ways I still question WHAT I actually even just did…. But nonetheless after a LOT of googling, a lot of palm sweating legal jargon paperwork, and a lot of closing my eyes and hitting submit…. we are officially an LLC with an Articles of Organization formally stamped by the state of NY paired with an EIN approved and granted by the IRS, along with a certification to charge sales tax! How wild!!

I guess that officially marks me knee deep in my girl boss / I still just a baby era lol! Wish me luck that I did it all right!

New website, new booking system- who dis?

You guys, I am SOOO excited and freaking PROUD to announce a HUGE upgrade we are finally rolling out!! As a one woman show (in the office), who started this business with literally NOTHING prepared other than a facebook with marketplace access…. I can’t emphasize enough, just how PACKED this last year was- fulllll of learning curves that we truly dealt with on the fly. It took my full and I mean FULL commitment to making keen observations, maintaining rational thinking, and a LOT of creativity and courage to tackle google sheets, google forms, and google sites with no templates to just plug and play.

Beyond Dave’s backbreaking work constructing the tables, there were LOADS of eyeball popping hours spent on clerical work that goes well beyond just chit chatting and posting on social media. In an attempt to keep our overhead as low as humanly possible, so we can keep our half off table model the same, I became an attorney who creates contracts out of thin air, a project manager who organizes all prospective and contracted reservation details, a web designer social media & brand strategist who keeps the company’s image top of mind, on trend & user friendly, while staying transparent and trustworthy, a general client relations specialist who created forms and both adopted & executed our communication practices - not to mention I simply became an overall girl boss, as loves saying, ensuring everything is running as a well oiled machine that maintains & exceeds our growth targets.

With the depth of meaning this upgrade has to me, here she is. A peek into of what I’m calling a game changer. I hope you guys love it as much as I do! I can’t wait to continue to add more information and features in time!

Also, how cool is that last pic? I can literally text my invoices and estimates to my clients now! And this doesn’t even include the scheduling system that I have Dave and Josh on, making the deliveries run smoother! I think I’m in love lol

***Traffic Alert: avoid Quaker/RTE 9 intersection at all costs.***

They have ALL LANES CLOSED on the mall side of the light. (Quaker is open entirely from BK and on going towards west mtn, but any lane you want at the light- in or out is shut down.)

If you want to use the intersection to get to the mall side of Quaker, coming from other parts of town… just be aware, you can not get to the mall side of Quaker from any part of the intersection. You’ll have to go all the way around the world to get over there, so plan accordingly.

On the mall side of the light, people heading towards the closed lanes are just sitting in a line of traffic and making u turns (uniformly at times but also quite chaotically at times) at Burger King as again…. you cannot use the intersection/light coming from the mall side at all.

At the intersection there is no Flagger, just a flashing red on the three sides that are open -which as a reminder, that means it’s just a big fat stop sign. And as a reminder, a lot of people are unaware of that of that so be SUPER careful and alert crossing it if you’re using it. 🥺

In summary… No matter what side you approach that light, it’s a s**t show. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. 🙃

On the drive home from Hague yesterday, Dave and I could t stop talking about how much we love this new job. Not only are we bringing joy to our clients with our pricing and our products, but the joy just comes right back to us as we spend these evenings and mornings getting to take the scenic route along the lake, spending time outside in this beautiful weather we’re having, making new friends, and spending time together. Life is great. 🥹🤍
