Just dropped off a few more bags of lemon cucumbers and peppers at Iden’s Farm Stand at the junction of Jerry’s Flat Road and Saunders Creek Road. Also a few “Flowers by T” (proud grandma moment). We are so excited to be a part of this. Next year we will definitely be planting more of everything.

Posting for a friend: "Hi. I have a rabbit dilemma. I have two mini-lop male rabbits. They were given to my daughter. We have had them since Sunday. It turns out, she is allergic to the hay, and our area seems to be too small for two male rabbits. One is around a year, the other is younger. Free to a good home. Would be a great 4-H rabbit project also".

A shout out to Alyssa, my trusted farrier and friend, for her patience with Jed. He still didn’t feel comfortable standing without some sedation on board and a towel over his eyes, but we were able to stand outside, without pinning him against a wall. And his feet are finally getting back to the correct shape. Baby steps…

Lots of fire activity. Fingers crossed our community is lucky this year. But please prepare.Since fire season started, I immediately place our farm on level 1. My “bug-out” list is made, things are put where they are supposed to be and I have a place for my horses and donkey to go. Questions? Let me know!

Update: trip #91, 3 years, 9 months & 5 days and 36,561 miles total, give or take. Left earlier than normal this morning. After last spring’s skin cancer that had been missed by Steve’s first dermatologist, I wasn’t comfortable continuing care with him. So since we are up in the Eugene every 3 weeks anyway, we got a referral to Willamette Valley Dermatology. We need to know we can trust the doctors and that they will take things seriously. Labs and chemotherapy first thing in the morning and then back home. Is it a long round trip drive, every 3 weeks? Yes! Is it financially challenging? Yes, it’s either small car fuel and motel room costs or RV fuel (they both cost about the same)! Is it anxiety inducing for both of us? Yes, every trip involves worrying about bloodwork being okay or worse, scanxiety from CT scans and MRI’s every 3 months, wondering “what next”! Do I feel pretty much constantly overwhelmed and on edge? As hard as it is to admit it, yes! Is it better than the alternative? Absolutely.

Wow! We have amazing fruit crops growing here for late summer harvest. Plums, grapes, pears and 3 different types of apples! The trees and vines are loaded. Let me know if you want on the list when they are ripe.
