Pitch a tent and stay awhile For the Love of Music. 🎶
Tie Dye Festival is West Michigan’s hidden summer gem—an annual celebration of local talent, good vibes, and community spirit. From noon to midnight Friday and Saturday, the fields come alive with music, color, and connection.

💜 This festival runs on donations, volunteers, and local love—so every moment you share helps keep the magic alive. Families are welcome (kids yes, pets no 🐾🚫), and camping is encouraged so you can soak in the full weekend experience.

💠 Power Portrait: Matty Moon in Turquoise 💠

A movement guide, a fire starter, a friend in flow—Matty shows up as he is and lets others do the same. From silent disco to flame-lit ecstatic dance, his work at Matty Moon holds space for transformation through breath, sound, and somatic freedom. We shot this portrait with his pup Max and the wide open sky.

This shade was chosen by his daughter—and he wore it like it came from within. Turquoise brings clarity, protection, and heart-led expression. For Matty, it became a soft armor of truth, play, and presence.

🎆 Power Portrait: Nick in Red Violet🔮

💃🕺🎶 We met at the Grand Rapids Original Swing Society, where Tuesday nights are filled with rhythm, joy, and unexpected connections. Nick—typically dressed in black—came alive in Red Violet. 💫

This color of emergence turned his swing flow into something deeper. A space where logic paused and curiosity took the lead. “Red Violet feels like curiosity in the dark spaces,” he told me. And you could see it—his movement soft, intuitive, alive.

This hue holds complexity. It honors transition. It reminds us that becoming is beautiful, even when it’s bold, tender, or unclear.

✨ Breakaway x Rewind Pre-Party — Where Color Meets Connection ✨

Today has been a swirl of color, music, and human magic. Breakaway merch, vintage Rewind finds, personal treasures — all transformed into wearable art.

Some people came with a vision, already seeing the swirls and twirls in their minds. Others followed the moment, letting color guide their hands. Pinks melted into teals, sunny yellows met deep violets, and somehow it all harmonized. Each creation felt like a celebration of individuality — proof that when we’re gifted choices, we bloom in our own way.

There’s been kandi swapping, permanent jewelry setting, beats from DJs, laughter over pink and white lemonade, and that quiet joy of watching friends help each other get ready. Getting dressed is part of the festival — these are the clothes you’ll dance in, remember, and talk about all winter long.

✨ Faces of the Wild ✨ This summer at 🌈 Wild Zen + 🌻 Fern Fest, I invited people to step outside the crowd and stand. Wrapped in color. Caught in joy.

💃🏽 They came alive in fabric that felt like home with just a spin. 📸 I captured them in those in-between moments—the ones that reveal who we are when we feel safe, seen, and free. 🌬️ Wind in their shirts. Laughter in their lungs.

💜 Power Portrait: Laego in Ultra Violet 🌌
I met Laego through an improv class and from the first scene, I could feel the layers of story, sensitivity, and soul he carries.

Laego is a creative force: an actor, musician, comedian, and voiceover artist whose characters bloom from a quiet, emotionally intelligent center. There’s a groundedness in him that doesn’t shout — it resonates.

When I styled him in Ultra Violet + Nightshade, something clicked. His dyed hair shimmered like a slow-burning firework fading into dusk — echoing the way he moves through the world: mysterious, layered, luminous. On the Blue Bridge and through the sculpture-lined riverwalk, he moved like he belonged to both the silence and the story.

✨ Two days of dancing in color, connection, and sacred storms—and we still have one beautiful day left at Wild Zen Yoga Fest 🌈

I came here to dress humans… but what I found was so much more.

Under these tents at Smiling Acres, I've witnessed sacred conversations unfold, witnessed hearts soften, seen humans unfurl like petals after rain. We huddled together through thunderstorms and met each other in our full spectrum—messy, radiant, and real. These are the moments I live for.

Each dash-dyed piece I bring isn’t just clothing—it’s a conversation. A ritual. A mirror. And when you step into one, something shifts. The animal inside starts to stretch and dance. The child returns to play. The storm quiets inside.
