If you ever wonder why I suggest an hour for photographing your details…here’s why 👇🏽
When it comes to being creative, I need time. Sometimes I get struck with a moment of spontaneous creativity, but it’s not guaranteed to be honest. I sometimes need to sit with your details in order to really decide how I want to style. I don’t use setups (I don’t knock any one that does because they’re GORGEOUS!). It’s just not how I work best.
And sometimes in the chaos of getting married, I have to gather details together when I get to you. So gathering up what I need for photos can also take a hot second depending on how many you have.
And then picking the right spot. Your venue or getting ready space will be different depending on the time of day, what’s available at the time, so many things. So choosing the best spots for certain details will take a moment.
And some of you might be wondering why I care to take this amount of time. Well, I’ve touched on it before, but you picked your details for a reason. They probably mean something to you. So I’m going to make sure you have beautiful and creative shots of what you’ve chose so that you have them to look back on. And I seriously love seeing what you choose to showcase your style and who you are. They all mean something, and that’s pretty cool 🤙🏽

It’s been awhile. I didn’t mean for it to happen. But sometimes, I like being offline.
Something I’m going to change in 2025? Not getting upset with myself when I don’t post everyday. I might just stick to posting only a couple times a week and let that be enough.
I also want to make sure I’m giving my clients more photos that feel like art. I love giving you work that is timeless, but that you feel great about decorating your home with.
Just some thoughts for today. With a reminder that your photos can look like whatever you want them to 🤙🏽

Believe it or not, my IG hiatus was not intentional.
I won’t lie, social media isn’t always one of the first things I think of when I think about posting my work and getting it out there for all of you to see.
But that’s going to change after the holidays, because I’m sittin on some pretty amazing photos of some amazing people that I just need you to see 🤙🏽

When the engagement session is a date night around town ✨
Stop 1: the brewery where we had the top floor to ourselves.
Stop 2: the coolest pinball arcade
Stop 3: the iconic dam in town with some fall colors to top it all off.
Photographing D & R was an absolute blast. So incredibly grateful to have met these two and hang out with them for the evening!

M’s suit for his elopement back in August was so freaking cool. He and B love the outdoors, so wearing a forest green suit to elope in the great outdoors was so fitting.
Remember guys! This is your day too! You can be as creative as you want, or as classic as you want! There is no wrong way, unless it’s not what you want 🤪
