We haven't posted for a while with Thanksgiving, but just wanted to let folks know we still have some items available. Mostly pans, pots, and the Square Equipment. some of it is also listed on Marketplace, and of course the Truck itself is still listed. Right now probably is just not a buying season for the truck so we are hoping it picks up interest after January. Still lots of shelf stable items for holiday parties too. Message us with questions.

Not on the list are tee shirts as well, we have a bunch of various sizes available.

We've gone ahead and disabled our Instagram Page. As we continue to sell through inventory and the truck itself, the page will be last, but we need it for messages on sale items. There are still items for sale, we would like to see the slicer and the Square POS gear go they are also listed on marketplace too. Please share.

The Greeneville Sun Best of the Best banquet was held this week. Turns out we actually won Best Food Truck, but we couldn’t afford to attend the banquet to receive our award and now our business is closing. Seriously How’s that for irony? It is Really hard to feel good about winning in any way. It’s still so confusing after all I’ve seen and heard from people about how good the food and marketing was in the last couple weeks, and now this award, that we had so few sales June-September to even keep the lights on and pay our people. Obviously the flooding didn’t help that capped it all off.

To be honest, I’m having a hard time saying I’m proud to be part of this community. I know I’m not from here but I’ve lived here a decade and I feel more like an outsider than I did ten years ago. I’m ashamed and embarrassed to even show my face anywhere.

It’s so hard to not have regrets. People have said it’s better to have tried and failed and all that but I regret trying to do something new. I regret going “big or going home” cause we know how that’s gone. I’m sorry to the girls that worked for me that I couldn’t keep it going they both were loyal as they come and that’s rare today.

My entire career I’ve looked in the mirror first to ask “what else could I have done?” Many times there truly is answers to that to adjust. This time there’s a couple things that maybe would have changed it especially around logistics and deliveries but at the end of the day I’m confident the result would have remained the same. I wasn’t ever going to get lower cost ingredients and just slash prices because that would’ve ended exactly the same way. Cutting margin or using cheaper product that lowers quality doesn’t help either. It will be easier when this is all just erased from existence as soon as possible.

Please continue sharing the inventory for sale there is a lot to move out but I will be listing some on Ebay and FaceBook Marketplace as well.

Just tack the debt onto the $12m rebuild of the GWC pumping station. Maybe they could actually upgrade the north green system and make it the redundant source for the rest of the county but sounds like the entire system there is pretty bad off.

“North Greene Utilities will continue to treat water and supply their customers to the best of their abilities until the transfer is complete.”

Define “to the best of their abilities” that’s pretty ambiguous.

The entire topic of the water system in this county clearly has to be discussed. The layers of the onion have been peeled back and it smells rotten.

North Greene Utility customers will have the chance to vote on a resolution to turn the operation of that water

You just got to love those that kick someone when they’re down. Just got this message about the sale of the truck… real nice. Glad this guy finds it funny and all. I mean if you eat s**t you must know what s**t tastes like…so there’s that. I have no problem posting his info either. I didn’t bother to reply to him but my reaction was to apologize that he didn’t actually choke on it.

I have updated the website with the links to both truck listings on FB and Used Vending along with the running list of smaller items for sale. There is a lot of Square POS gear, as well as kitchen equipment available. I know there are plenty of other food service folks around that could use these items and try to help us out paying some bills.

It's really hard for most people to understand that it takes months to build something and mere hours to take it apart. With just a few mouse clicks the mobile app is unpublished, the website is removed/hidden, and services like square are disabled. Putting up the post yesterday was hard, working through today is even harder to watch it all just disappear with a few clicks.

I will also be updating the inventory list soon to include pots, pans, Cambro containers, and other kitchen supplies that will go up for sale.

Some folks have started to notice that there is a Facebook Marketplace post up to sell the Truck. I wanted to address this publicly instead of one by one via direct messages or in comments to other posts.

Yes, the post is real. After much debate we decided that we have to explore all possible financial options on the table. We spent a great deal of our savings to try and build something new with the hopes that it would be successful, and generally accepted. Some will say we "didn't give it enough time" and "the first year is always the hardest", and to a point those may be true. I might argue that I can see the writing on the wall already, and that for a number of other reasons I won't get into, it will just never work.

It's not easy to start something new. Many people will never know the financial stress and pain of trying to start something new that relies on the support of the people to be successful. I took a big risk quitting my career of 25 years, but we also have bills to pay, so we have to see what all the options are including clawing my way back into the tech field (which is itself not an easy market right now). We are also exploring other listing capabilities nationwide with help.

At the end of it all, we will lose a lot of money, but as they say....you miss 100% of the shots you never take. Well, I stepped up to to plate and took a really big swing....and struck out in some ways.

Just remember as you read this, the ultimate life and death of any small business does rest in the hands of the patrons. To those that we saw regularly and those that left those 100+ 5-star reviews, I thank you and I am sorry we could not have done more, but I am out of money and out of ideas.

To my biggest supporter, my wife who has had nothing but faith all along in me even up until this final decision, the idea, the food, the plan, and the people we tried to serve, I am sorry. I think about all the times you so proudly told people about "your husband's new food truck" and it hurts my soul. I feel like I let you down the most (I also know you will tell me different every single time).

It was a short lived endeavor and I certainly learned a lot.

This is me after putting in some time working out today. It’s been a struggle to maintain a routine and it shows in the way I feel physically and mentally. Granted being 50 doesn’t help either. Everything hurts more and hurts differently. With the truck turned down I don’t have any excuses about “time” to get it done. Some things you just have to get up and do regardless of how much it hurts. I will say two years after a distal bicep tendon tear repair that arm feel pretty good compared to everything else.

Julie Quinn Colotti and I have always loved halloween. MANY of our costumes over the years she hand made, more recently we bought them. This isn't even a handful of the different ones we've had. I am sure if she takes a minute she can add even more. While my "pimp coat" is one of my favorites...the person waering it was so many years (and pounds ago)! 😄

I am also very partial to my Deadpool outfit....
