Veterans Day honors all of those who have served the country in war or peace — dead or alive — although it's largely intended to thank living veterans for their sacrifices. It was originally called Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I. There are around 19 Million US Veterans & Women make up 13% of all veterans in the United States.

Every year, the United States of America gathers on Nov. 11 to honor those who have served in any branch of the country's armed forces. Veterans Day is a celebration of all veterans with service in the U.S. military.

Honoring all Veterans from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force. Our Freedom is intact thanks to your sacrifice, Thank You!

There is just something about Fluer De Lis & Tiger Football! Take a look at what I captured from the Second Half as the Tigers Clawed their way to a 16-14 Final Second Victory over Casey Westfield to advance to the Quarter Finals of the IHSA 1A Football Playoffs.

I spent the morning with my Father & Step Mom doing a Couples Session at Sugar Creek Covered Bridge & finished up at their Home with their Dogs. Once we said our Goodbyes, Rae & I jumped in the van with a mission to get back home to make the second half of the game. I tuned my radio dial to WEAI 107.1 The Eagle & heard Ryne Turke as well as Dakota E Turpin calling a 62 yard touchdown run for Casey Westfield that was called back for a block in the back. With the 1st half winding down, a trick play (HB Pass) was in progress when Junior Linebacker Garrett Costello ripped the ball from the air to take possession back for the GNW Tigers. A few Plays later, As the final minutes of the first half ticked ticked away, a huge bomb down the field from Senior Quarterback Dylan Pembrook lands in the hands of Senior Wide Receiver Nathan Nord, putting the Tigers in Prime Position to make this a one score game heading into Half time. Pembrook connected with Costello for a touchdown, & then completed a pass to Talon Albrecht for the 2 point conversion bringing the score to 14-8 in favor of Casey Westfield headed into Halftime. I can tell you that Rae & I cheered so loud as the calls were made over our Terrestrial Radio Dial. Our Boys were fighting for their chance to advance & we were lovin every minute of it. The Second half began & seemed to be a stalemate up until the final minutes of the game where Greenfield began to stretch the Casey Defense & put them in positions to make mistakes to capitalize on. GNW took every inch of the field they could get, in hopes of knockin' on the door to give them at least a chance to tie the ball game. Following a crucial penalty on a long pass play against Casey the GNW Tigers, were not just knocking, they were beating down the door to that end zone. At this point the volume was off the charts, there seemed to be some commotion in the South End zone as some fans attempted to get the referee's attention due to a Casey Westfield Player Vomiting following a huge collision. The emotions were high & I had a front row seat standing just west of the South Goal Post with my camera in Hand. Back to the action, With Dylan Pembrook under center & Brody Reif returning to the game following a stint on the sideline after a long & relentless day of blocking, I liked our chances. Just the Like a Tactical Team entering the only doorway of a building, the GNW Tigers Offensive Line Led the way busting open a hole for Kohen Vetter & He followed his Junior Fullback Wyatt Stuart into the South Endzone with the final Second frozen on the Clock. This tied the game at 14-14. For the 2 point try, the Tigers gave Pembrook the call & he fought his way into the end zone to give GNW the lead 16-14. With time for one final play the Tigers Kicked the ball on the ground to start the clock & the final play of the game was under way. Zero on the Clock for What seemed like an eternity, the Kick Off team stuffed the returner & brought him to the ground ending Casey Westfield's amazing football season that led them to Fluer De Lis. The GNW Fans rushed the field led by Senior Colton Knapp dressed in his Tiger Mascot Suit to congratulate the Boyz on an amazing comeback Victory.

Coach P delivering one of his most impactful speeches today following the GNW Tiger Victory over Casey-Westfield at Fluer De Lis Field. Trailing the entire game we witnessed these young men led by a great coaching staff, triumph in the face of adversity. A comeback victory 16-14 as the final seconds were ticking off the clock. Got a few more photos to edit from this game so stay tuned.
