Last weekend was my favorite kind of wedding weekend 🤍 the kind where you get to help do something special for people you love!

I’m so honored when my friends trust me with their amazing visions. It makes my heart so so happy! And & I have worked together so often that I KNEW hers would be epic ✨ Being an incredible creative designer in her own professional life - I knew the expectations would be high for this girl & I was so glad I got to be the one to pull it together for her!

I’m so grateful I get to do this job. It really fills me up in a way I can’t explain - seeing people living the best day of their lives, knowing I had a part in making it happen for them.

Thank you for trusting me with that! It truly means the world.

Dropping into your feed with a friendly little PSA - that Royal Street Events Co is a PROUDLY LGBTQ+ owned & affirming small business.

I know that sometimes planning weddings as a member of the LGBTQ+ community - can be a little daunting - especially in the South! As much as the climate in the Upstate has progressed in the past few years, it is still unfortunately a reality that you may confront non-affirming event vendors.

I want to let you ALL know that your love is valid, worthy & safe with me & I will do everything in my power to make sure you have a joyful wedding planning experience!

My mission with EVERY client is to curate a wedding planning experience, from start to finish, that you will look back on fondly & treasure for a lifetime! And in the case of the LGBTQ+ community - that starts with making sure you only are referred to & work with friendly & affirming vendors.

✨Side note: I had to bring back these precious photos from a Styled Shoot we did back in Spring of 2021 to celebrate the fact that these two are FINALLY actually getting hitched next year!!! 🎉🎉🎉 On the day of this shoot we talked about the dream destination wedding they would hopefully have one day on a tropical beach somewhere - And I am honored to be a part of making that dream become a reality!

I love you so much & ! I can’t believe the ripple effect this day 3 years ago had on our friendship! AND I can’t wait to celebrate you two in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 next April 😘

It’s a lovely late start to this holiday week & I just got these sweet snaps of me & the best Assistant Coordinator there ever was, from this past weekend’s wedding - thanks to 💕

So SHOUT OUT to my lovely wife who always sacrifices her Saturdays for me & my dream! She knows me better than anybody & as much as I love all the other people I get to work alongside - she’ll always be my # 1 - because she reads my mind like nobody else can! She also is forever the person reminding me to eat & drink water on busy wedding days - so I stay sane 🤣

So just a big thank you to my better half for always having my back! ILYSM - couldn’t live this dream without your unwavering support & willingness to show up when I need you! 🥰

🙋🏼‍♀️ WEDDING PRO TIP: DON’T FORGET THE DETAILS!!

I will forever be a sucker for a gorgeous Flat Lay details photo 😍

I love how different they all are. How they show off some of the most unique & intimate personal details of your day!

And no matter how many times I remind couples about this - it always seems to be the thing that slips through the cracks!

So here’s your reminder: PACK A DETAILS BAG/BOX!!

Some of the typical things I recommend my couples bring:

Stationery: Save the Dates, Invites, Details cards, Itineraries, Addressed Envelope, Wax Seals, Personalized Stamps, etc.

Jewelry: The rings & box, earrings, necklace, cuff links, bracelets, hair pieces, etc.

Accessories: Perfume, Shoes, Garter, Tie, Pocket Square, etc.

Sentimental: Old, New, Borrowed, Blue? Personalized Handkerchief? Mom’s veil? Anything that is special or meaningful to you & your future spouse!

Pack them all together in one bag or box to hand over to your photographer when they arrive on wedding day! I promise you’ll thank me later 👌

Happy Spring Equinox 💐

I always get asked what my FAVORITE part of a wedding day is…and typically my number one answer is THE REVEAL. Seeing all of the hard work, planning & hustle coming together to bring the vision to life - it’s always such a magical moment when everything is finished!

But coming in a close second…THE FLOWERS. I’m a sucker for the florals. You will catch me literally stopping to smell the roses all day long, because flowers bring me SO MUCH joy!
