Went away for a couple of days, came back to harvest this giant basket of tomatoes! Going to have to make some sauce soon for canning!!!

Favorite flower this year= strawberry fields gomphrena. They are amazing producers, super heat tolerant, and cut-and-come again.

I was not successful last year at starting then, but then looked up that you must soak the seeds for 24 hours prior to starting them and seeds need light to germinate. So I barely covered them with vermiculite.

Much better results! This is definitely a learning process!

Harvesting garlic!

Some of these bulbs had some mold on the outside after drying them out because of all the rain recently. So last year we learned that if freeze the cloves they’ll hold up fine for cooking later!

Garlic fail= success!

Homemade Olla watering system! Trying this out this year in some large pots I have.
I used the 6” terracotta pots and lids. Closed the hole at the bottom and put water in. Then covered the top with the saucer.

When the only cool flower you were successful at overwintering are snapdragons …. You harvest them as often as you can and relish in your accomplishments 🎉🎉🎉

Outdoor Vs. Indoor arrangement. The first photo has more colorful succulents and they do need a lot more direct sunlight. The second photo shows the types of succulents that will do well with indoor lighting (“low light”).
They’re both equally beautiful in my opinion!

Low light does not mean NO light. I would recommend 4 hours if you can.

Starting to harden off my tomato seedlings in zone 8a!
It’s definitely a little early to bring these guys outside as our last frost is expected between March 23- April 3rd. But I’ve run out of room in my grow room. Thankfully I had this heat lamp that I’ll leave on at night and even during colder days. Wish me luck!
