After almost 2 months in St. Croix, it’s hard to say goodbye to the place and people that felt like home.
Back in January, I had no idea what my trip would be like. I certainly didn’t expect to cancel my flight & extend my trip another week (for the first time) and feel more alive and happy than I ever have.
Then, after two weeks back home (and freezing & sick) in Massachusetts, I flew back in the middle of February. Very few places make me feel at home right away, but St. Croix did. After 2 weeks there, I extended my trip again. After the 3rd week, I cancelled my flight again (American Airlines probably hate me by now) to spend some time in Puerto Rico.
I didn’t want this overwhelming joy and peace I felt knowing I was in the right place at the right time to end.
But for now, I know MA / New England is where I’m supposed to be. Time to focus on the life (and business) I have created here, and be thankful I had the ability to spend this winter away and the privilege of befriending so many amazing people instead of being sad that it’s over.
I will never forget this time in my life and the people that impacted me.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. Until next time, St. Croix ❤️
