Themed boards are such a fun and special gift! We have done many over the years. This order went out to a favorite local veterinarian and their crew for vet tech week.
So much fun to design!
All it takes is letting us know what you would like!
Is there a group of folks you would love to thank?
Nurses, teachers, your favorite veterinarian, any of our hard working law enforcement agencies, the dentist! So many opportunities Suffice it to say that these grazing boards are always very welcomed.

How are you doing? Is it a beautiful day where you are? It is a lovely day here in the Rockies.

I’ve been keeping a low profile so far this weekend work wise.
Enjoying some personal time which is sorely needed

I did agree to one board order and since where my clients live is a beautiful drive , I gladly agreed to deliver it.

The Blue Spruce is one of my favorites to design.
Lots of yum cheeses on this one!
Isigny Ste Mere Petit Bonhomme Brie, Somersdale, Bayley Hazen Blue….
I also love the large marinated”giant” Lima beans and on occasion will build a board with them complementing some of the ingredients.
Grazing boards are such a fun addition to any party and quite the topic of fun food adventures!

Can you guess how much the ingredients on this board cost?? I think you might be surprised!

For all you grazing board designers, do you have to have things looking “just so” to take a picture ?

Sometimes I have to tell myself to stop fiddling with the board!!
Time gets away from me and I only have so much time I can spend on creating the board🤨

Do you take pictures of your food?

Looking thru the lens of a camera things appear different than with the naked eye. It gives a better perspective I feel and helps me see where I might need to add some extra colors even one more blackberry for balance.

When we began our Grazing Company in 2020, the vast majority of our orders were for “in the box” where we designed everything in a craft cardboard box with a lining, folks could eat it right out of the box and toss everything away. Very, very popular through 2021…
As things opened up after the severity of the pandemic we started shifting to actual wooden boards, palm leaf platters, and our grazing tables became very popular.

Going forward today… Most all of our orders are grazing tables, actual catering jobs for large events and smaller events…

We shift as the times change, but we always fondly remember our in the box offers so, we still offer two sizes of “in the box”

Another Evergreen board ; repeatable pattern but slight changes in cheeses and colors.

This board is patterned very similarly each time. I tweak the cheeses and color theme according to my clients preferences but for the most part it is the same..

It’s Friday and typically we have orders headed out for various celebrations.

Of course this weekend is Mother’s Day and interestingly, many countries around the world celebrate this occasion in May.

Mexican Mother’s Day is celebrated on 10 May no matter which day of the week it falls on, so, today I have a few headed out the door.

Although I do not do design boards for any particular holiday, I am more than happy to tweak a board for a client based on whatever special celebration they are doing.

A favorite request often is our southwestern style board, it features a sweet little guacamole layer dip, some spicy cheeses, and a few slices of spicy salami. This order comes with a sweet little cracker cup, and off to the side an array of tortilla chips.

The mama receiving this no doubt will be thrilled ❣️

We are celebrating our elementary KIDS today !
A special surprise was prepared for a class attending a local art fair.

They each received their own food gift box and a special sweet treat bag! They were over the top excited.

The second group went on a field trip and got to enjoy their own mini snack box.

A special request for wine and cheese tasting party. Doing a little research I found out that the best overall nut to serve with wine and cheese are Pecans. Universally agreed-upon based on several websites that deal in nuts and cheese and wine :-)
This certainly does not mean that other nuts don’t go well with certain cheeses & wines… individual tastes play a part.
I particularly like walnuts with Brie…

Almonds came in a close 2nd.
Raw, blanched( Spanish Marcona ) Roasted seemed to be the favorites.

Cashews, pistachios, candied, pecans, or sesame honey almonds are all great choices… Some taste better with certain cheeses than others.
Brie, Camembert, Gouda, Cheddar, Goat and Parmesan are all great selections to pair with the above nuts and your basic wines.

The wine selections for this x-large Mountain Pine Grazing board were: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir & Chardonnay

Since I do not drink anymore, I rely on the expertise of others… With that being said, of course, we all have different opinions… Do you have an opinion? Why not share it here.

It’s a snowy day here in our Rocky Mtn valley.
Spring snowstorms are a commonplace thing…

I’ve lived in the high country since 1970 and it’s just what happens.

Usually the snow is wet & heavy which is better to have now than in April or May when the trees are blossoming and branches easily break with the weight of that type of snow.

More moisture will hopefully help with the dryness coming our way. Hoping for a balanced, moist spring summer and fall.

Am taking the week to deep clean the catering kitchen! No small task
