The Hitchin Post Country wedding venue in the quaint little village of Hamilton, MI. We are situated on 5 acres on a private lake. We can currently seat 125+ people.

We are so proud to say. We hosted our first out of state wedding. Thank you so much to Nikki and Noel. It was our honor to have you come in from Arizona and share your special day with us. What an amazing night. It was fantastic for us to have your special day as the day we debuted the new look of The Hitchin Post. Thank you for all the compliments on all the new wood work we've added. From the stairs, to the new wall, to the new DJ stand and the new cooler behind the bar. No more black curtains up top or in the bottom corner.

Good evening everyone. We have been getting a lot of questions lately. I apologize to all. I thought I had put a post up. I hope I answer the one question the majority of people have been asking.. I want to let everyone who visits this page to fully understand. Unlike most venues.... We do not and will not plan on closing down, postponing, limiting guests, or mandating ANY restrictions on any events we host. When you book with us and secure your date with your deposit. We will honor that date and your plans WILL NOT be postponed. We here at the Hitchin Post believe completely in our constitution and our God given inalienable rights, that our constitution guarantees. We also believe completely that those rights can not and will not be infringed upon.
So to anyone looking at our venue.... Yes, we are fully open and plan on staying that way. Feel free to message us anytime. We look forward to hosting your event and making it as special as it should be.

Its looking like the snow is heading to an end. It looks like winter may be right on its heels following along. We here at the Hitchin Post have had enough of the snow..... and cold. We have started getting bookings for the 2021 season. We are looking forward to our first full year in business. Being that it is our first full year, and we understand how the last year has effected everyone.. We are doing some specials for the 2021 season. We are constantly trying to improve our appearance.... The "new" bathroom is finished. We really liked the look the way it was. But we decided to change and improve it.... We hope it better fits the "style" of the venue. New ceiling, floor, new stain on the walls, new matching lights, Mason jar style, new mirror.

Vicky and I created this venue because we love to share in peoples special day. We didn't want an elegant venue, there are plenty of those. We just wanted a good down home country feel without it being a decorated barn. So we chose to mix the two, barn and elegant, and come up with what you see.
