✨️Sharing with you all The Flower Series✨️

I'm not exactly sure whether to call this a workshop or a floral experience. Starting April 10th I'm hosting a monthly get together for flower enthusiasts, flower lovers and anyone who wants to learn from me( a giant flower nerd!) We will delve into the realm of local grown, seasonal flowers. We will discuss their quirks, their nuances, their intricacies, their shape and style and more! We will design, craft, innovate, collaborate as well as chat, feast and drink!
I'll also be featuring some special guests and speakers in this series- so keep an eye out for more details coming very soon!

Romantic Whimsical Garden Style Vibes are truly my vibes and passion.
Almost every single design of mine has something hand picked from a garden - anything from hosta leaves, japonica, hydrangea to the most delicate and intricate vines. Adding elements from the garden is sentimental to me as I grew up with beautiful gardens in my yard tended to by my parents. The garden kept me in touch with nature, the seasons and now brings me fond memories of my childhood and time with my parents.

Meet Joanna Beth Williams-
She has 22 years of experience in the floral industry. You name it- Joanna has probably worked there in some aspect or another, flower shops, flower farms, wedding companies-but she was always longing to do her own creative thing and grow her special relationship with flowers. Joanna opened her wedding and event company in 2021 and has just currently rebranded as Tryst Floral.
Her design work was featured in Florist's Review Magazine in the Picture Perfect Weddings Edition in 2022 winning an Honorable Mention for one of her wedding tablescapes. She has also appeared in Philly Current Magazine as well as on Wedding Chicks, a popular online blog.
Joanna completed Longwood Garden's Continuing Education program obtaining a certificate in Floral Design in 2006 and has studied under some of the best, attending in person as well as online courses and workshops with designers such Kiana Underwood of Tulipina, Holly Chapple, TJ McGrath and Graeme Corbett of Bloom and Burn. She is also a graduate of The Wedding Process taught by Jennie Love of Love N Fresh Flowers and also Ellen Frost's Course on Sourcing Local Flowers for your Business. Joanna believes strongly in continuing education to constantly fortify her design skills.
She also holds a certificate in Floral Therapy Healing which she acquired in 2020 and hopes to help people struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression find healing through floral design workshops. Joanna promotes working closely with local flower growers and farmers, using sustainable material and mechanics and giving back to the community as well as the environment with flowers.

She is holding 2 workshops this month! On November 16th she will be teaching the spiral bouquet design method at during their art gallery of Botanical Illustrators.
On November 21st, she will teaching a Thanksgiving Centerpiece workshop in her neighborhood at one of her favorite shops
Be sure to check these workshops out and to look out for more in the future in Spring of 2024!

Beautiful capture by of a pocket boutonnière created for an early September wedding!!

I've definitely been recommending pocket Bouts to all of my couples being that you can get way more flowers and foliage on them then your traditional boutonnière!

I'm definitely on board with this trend!!!

Congrats to these two newlyweds and awesomely chill people who were so down with the colorful vibes!!!
The groom Daniel is from Mexico, so what better flower to use is the wedding, but the Dahlia, the national flower of Mexico!
And for Nina the bride I sourced the vibrant orange hued rose called "Nina"!! Such a vibe!!!

Romantic Garden Style Ceremony Nest full of roses, larkspur, delphinium and tons of local grown goodies from both @phillyfloralguild and @paflowerhub - like Abelia, Japanese anemones, lilies, dahlias, tweedia and jasmine vine! Anyone who knows me and dealt with my consistent babbling about the topic between 2019 and 2021, knows I was hoping, dreaming, wishing and pushing for the concept...I had NO idea a few months to a year later a person I admired and looked up to in the floral realm @lovenfreshflowers would start the absolutely amazing @phillyfloralguild !!!! I knew it was incredibly important to support- however last night during the farm tour I was filled with undying respect for the land and everything it provides only miles away from where I grew up. It's incredible to learn about the flowers I design and work with- being at the farm tour with like minded flower lovers really felt meaningful. When there is greater meaning and purpose behind the work you do, it's not work- it's a passion. All I can say is I loved making this today and styling it as a tribute to farmers, chickens, bees, spring and the land. It was supposed to be an exercise and practice in photographing our designs but @lucytheflowerhunter described my piece along the lines of - it wasn't so much a design for a photograph, as it was a "live" or "living" design/piece- and I was completely happy with that because when I design I try to create an experience with the flowers and it's really something people need to experience in person rather than looking at a photo.
