Hello my party people! It’s been awhile. I hope that the unwelcomed hiatus in celebrating hasn’t dampened your spirits; there’s always happiness to be celebrated!!

There are many easy ways to celebrate others. In what was the most exhausting year of my teaching career, I found comfort in these final weeks of school by celebrating by colleagues.

Simple treats and punny greetings brightened their days, which brightened mine.

Always look for the sunshine; it’s there, even if the clouds are blocking its rays. Every day can be a celebration! Party on!

'tis the seaon, my Party People!

If you're hosting a holiday party and looking for a kid-friendly punch, try this Candy Cane Punch!

Ingredients
• 2 liters Lemon-lime soda
• 2 qt Peppermint stick ice cream
• 2 jars (10 ounces each) strawberry jelly
• 1 Candy canes, Miniature

Directions:
In a large saucepan, melt jelly with 2 cups soda.
Chill the jelly mixture and remaining soda. Just before
serving, place 6 cups ice cream in a punch bowl. Gently stir in jelly mixture. Add remaining soda. Add remaining ice cream by scoopfuls. Garnish with candy canes.

Yield: 3-1/2 quarts.
