We are excited to invite a skilled and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Chef de Rang at our new, exquisite fine dining bistro. As a Chef de Rang, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our esteemed guests.
Job Title: Chef de Rang
Location: Hays, Kansas
Type: Full-time or Part-time
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism, providing a memorable first impression.
- Guiding guests through the menu, describing dishes, and offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Taking precise orders and transmitting them accurately to the kitchen staff, ensuring seamless communication.
- Serving food and beverages with impeccable attention to detail and artistic presentation.
- Maintaining an elegant and organized dining area, ensuring it is clean, set, and ready for each service.
- Anticipating guests' needs and providing attentive, unobtrusive service throughout their dining experience.
- Assisting in wine and beverage service, including recommending pairings and ensuring a well-stocked bar.
- Addressing any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Upholding the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and restaurant etiquette.
- Participating in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance your skills.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Rang or Senior Waiter/Waitress in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, including wine pairings and cocktail service.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- A passion for providing top-notch customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, representing the bistro's high standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and basic computer skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a positive and harmonious work environment.
