This weekend reminded us what community, hope, and love can do when they come together under one roof. Saturday’s Barn Dance was more than an event — it was a night filled with music, dancing, laughter, hugs, and the kind of positivity that makes you believe in the good that still exists in the world.
On behalf of Forever Joy, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you to every single person who showed up, donated, bid in the silent auction, danced, and poured your energy into the night. Because of you, we were able to raise $18,840, which will be split 50/50 between Greater Hayward House of Hope and Forever Joy. These dollars will go directly toward helping people in recovery, spreading awareness, and continuing the mission we carry forward in Cassidy’s name.
Tomorrow marks six years since Cassidy’s passing — a loss that changed ours and so many lives forever. While there will always be pain in that, there is also light. That light shines through every person who showed up on Saturday, every dollar given, and every ounce of awareness shared. Cassidy’s spirit lives on in the love we keep pouring out, and the way this community refuses to let her story fade.
To everyone who attended, donated, or supported from near and far — please know you are part of something so much bigger than one night. You are helping families, supporting recovery, and reminding us all that even in the hardest chapters, hope is still possible.
