Today we went over to look at the stage and vendor area for the upcoming Junefest2023 scheduled Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site! We are excited and know that this celebration will be amazing!!! The amphitheater seats 200 people!! 🙌🏾🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈

Hendersonville City Council, by proclamation of Mayor Barbara Volk, has proclaimed June 19, 2021 "Juneteenth Day" in the city.

My 1st Juneteenth event at Hola Cultural Center at Jackson Park in Hendersonville, NC. We had vendors, non profits, performers and so much fun!!! I had Art exhibit, performed a poem paying homage to all African Americans who were enslaved in this county. We had diversity at this event and I will never forget the great memories.

Welcome to Junefest2023 page! My name is Crystal Cauley and I have lived in Hendersonville, NC practically my entire life. I lived in Travelers Rest/Greenville, SC for 7 years and relocated back home and decided to stay til my son graduated from high school. In 2020 after George Floyd was killed I became an activist and my life changed from the first event I had in Hendersonville, NC “Speak Out Loud Voices Of Unity”. I have had many events including observing Juneteenth, Kwanzaa, Black History Month and Community Fest. This page is dedicated ONLY to the Juneteenth Freedom Fest! where performers will share photos/post, Juneteenth related info and for important info along the way! Juneteenth is FOR EVERYONE and we can celebrate the end of slavery that occurred in this country at different times….let’s celebrate as ONE that we are free and live in a diverse country.

Community fun event that is FREE to attend! Everyone is welcomed to join our awesome list of performers who will rock the amphitheater stage at Carl Sandburg Home in Flat Rock! We will have vendors and food trucks! We plan to see you! There will be a shuttle in the parking lot to help transport to the amphitheater! Fun! Bring the children! Crystal Cauley is the organizer and founder of Black History Collective of Henderson County, NC and many successful events have happened for us! Come and cheer on the performers from Charlottesville, VA to local amazing talent! Sponsorships are available!!
