Time for me to reintroduce myself!
Hello! My name is Jon and I am the owner of Shay Floral. I haven’t always been here in Florida, in fact, I grew up in West Virginia. I have a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences with a specialization in Fashion Merchandising from Fairmont State University. After college, I worked for Christian Louboutin, Nordstorm and Topshop-Topman. However, after working for over a decade in retail I needed a change so I attended an educational program at The Floral Design Institute in Portland, Oregon. Fast forward several years later and floral and wedding/event design construction has become one of my passions. Since then, I’ve had multiple opportunities to work as a freelance designer for several companies and have had the privilege to design in some of the best hotels and venues in Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West Virginia and Washington D.C.
