Happy New Year!
Every year I'm grateful for the opportunity to write you a message.
I know this is a long message, I wished I had a cinnamon roll to offer you while you're reading! ☺️
I wanted to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to all of you.
I'm grateful to have been a part of your lives, a part of your joys and when you were experiencing difficulties.
My family and I have been blessed to participate in your special family events, school fundraisers, happy times, weddings, meetings, community enrichment events, the birth of your babies, times you've received sad news, holidays, and just when you wanted something special for your family. You have invited us and allowed us to become part of your forever memories.
I have so many wonderful memories of baskets full of freshly baked cinnamon rolls and breads filling my car and the cars my daughters. You have greeted us with welcome smiles and happy hearts. Those will be memories we will cherish forever.
There were tender times, and times of sorrow that your family's were experiencing. So many of you suffered loss, illnesses, sad times, break up a families and other sorrowful times.
We are so grateful that you allowed us to share those times with you.
A cinnamon roll or a loaf of bread doesn't fix everything. It does show a token of our love and support of each one of you.
When I started this business decades ago, I had hoped it would be a beautiful experience and legacy for my girls. I had hoped that I would build and maintain wonderful relationships. I feel blessed to know that, the goal was realized.
I feel extremely grateful to have had the wonderful opportunity to have donated over 10,000 cinnamon rolls to HUSD for their fundraisers and teacher rewards.
Even though it was an incredible journey, having The Cinnamon Roll Lady as my Avatar, the blessing was and is you. One wonderful side effect was having my daughters witnessing their mom feel joy in her work. They watched her do something that not only made her happy, but brought joy in their lives as well.
There are so many of you with whom I have such sweet memories with. You have supported me and my family through the very wonderful years and through the years that we were challenged.
As I evaluate how I can continue this wonderful legacy, Of course, teaching my daughters my recipes and creations. They have watched for years as I have been able to create without measuring! The feel of the dough, adjusting to the weather, experimenting with wonderful flavors, and of course having yummy warm fresh baked deliciousness is always a win.
Many of you know my daughter Brittany was blessed to be able to bake for you this Christmas. As she was baking she would message me. She relayed what a beautiful memory it was to smell the cinnamon rolls. She was especially grateful with how happy her baking would make the people that ordered from her. I was grateful to hear her abundant joy, with being able to replicate and execute the cinnamon rolls (and other goods) that she had watched me bake for so many years.
As I move forward with with my vision, I'm adapting to technology. .
I loved so much having baking classes in my house, at school assemblies and community events.. Those were incredible evenings with wonderful friends.
I've had so many people ask, if I would do online baking classes.
I'm in the process of learning how to do this effectively.
I've also been asked if I could mail products. That one is more difficult, because of the high standards I have for fresh products.
I suppose I could fly from state to state and have cooking classes and bake your homes! haha!
Gratefully in some states my daughters are there!
If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see The Cinnamon Roll Lady offer, let me know!
Also, I may be changing the name. It needs to include my name , in some way.
Do you have any suggestions?
Well, I think I'm more than made up for all those times I haven't written on here!
I just want each of you to know how much you are appreciated.
Thank you for letting us into your homes, at your breakfast table, your midnight snack, your vacations, camping trips, school meetings and everything else that we are invited to!
Happiest of New Year's, to yo all!
Love, Ellen and family.
