We have SO MUCH Fresh Food we are getting ready to put out! Please tell a friend to tell a friend! The Free Grocery Distribution starts at 12 NOON. This is all fresh food right off of the truck.
We have Farm Fresh Fruits & Veggies.

The January 3rd Friday Food Distribution will be Friday January 17th, 2025 at 3PM. We will serve Families until all food is gone. Food will be given on a First Come, First Served Basis.

Location will be the Deeper Purpose Community Complex (our vacant church property) out on 441 that sits right across from the Oak Ridge Subdivision in High Springs. 16779 NW US HWY 441 High Springs, FL 32643. If coming from Gainesville/ ALACHUA it’ll be on your right. If coming from High Springs on 441, it’ll be on your left. Look for signs by the highway with an arrow that will say FOOD DISTRIBUTION HAPPENING NOW with arrows.

If coming from High Springs, if you get to the area of Jack’s Small Engine, you’ve gone too far. If coming from Gainesville/ Alachua, if you get to the area of the new Palms Medical Group, you’ve gone too far. We are between the new Palms Medical Group & Jack’s Small Engine on 441. It’ll be a 14 acre large field. Volunteers are needed & welcomed one hour before the distribution starts if you know of anyone.

We will have a very large variety of food. Dry goods, dairy, fruits & veggies, meat, bread & desserts, a host of other food items & more. Breakfast, lunch & dinner items.

We will also try to get laundry soap on the truck, but can’t make any promises yet.

We will be paying for a food truck from Bread of the Mighty to deliver food & will also purchase food from the store to help be a better blessing to Families that really need it.

After our previous update about closing the 24/7 Outdoor Walk- Up Reach in Pantry & Fridge & stating why.. Our new much larger & so much better indoor pantry opens Tuesday of this week!

Here are some things to keep in mind & what you need to know.
Because the outdoor pantry served a couple hundred families weekly, we anticipate that the indoor pantry will serve about the same, if not more. Because of that, you will need to CALL ☎️ US to make an appointment to come & get food for your Families. 386-454-8493. If you don’t get an answer, leave a message & someone will return your call. We don’t have staff that can sit & watch the phone, but someone will get back to you asap.

We should have our new locking donation drop box out front & can start taking much needed food donations again. Please make sure it’s food that is undamaged & unexpired. Please do not leave cold items in the donation box. Call 386-454-8493 if you have cold items to donate, please.

We have a current plan to stock the indoor pantry twice a week. That’s the best that we can do, for now, since we do pay for the food that we are stocking the shelves with.

In addition to food, we are slowly adding household items like toilet paper & paper towels. Diapers & hygiene products- as much as we can. When you call & speak to a representative, you can ask if certain items are in stock, other than food & we can tell you if it is or is not.

When you come to visit the pantry with an appointment, our current plan is to not do like most pantries, where they give you pre-made boxes or bags of food at the door. Too much food gets thrown away when that happens, because some items people can’t eat due to allergies ect. or simply won’t eat. We want those that need food to be able to come in & enjoy a shopping experience & pick the items that you need, want & what will actually get eaten.

Our Outreach Coordinator will be speaking with families, as they come in. Finding out what everyone’s different situations are & seeing what other resources we may be able to provide or where we can refer you for more assistance with other things. In our research, we see that some food pantries allow families to come once a week, biweekly, monthly & some once every 6 months.

For the first 30 days we will do a case by case basis with families, as everyone’s situations are unique & different. The amount of food given will also vary. For example a single person household of just one person, wouldn’t get the same amount of food as a family of 6. Anyhow.. we are excited to get back rolling & look forward to hearing from you.

Don’t need food but looking to help others? Did you know that a $25 donation to us would help purchase 100 pounds of food from the BOTM Food Warehouse in Gainesville? $100 donation would help purchase 400 pounds of food!

The last thing we want to point out is that we are in HIGH SPRINGS, FLORIDA. We have many different people that see our posts & follow our pages that have been messaging for food, only to find out that we are not in the same state as them. Or that we are over an hour away from them. We are happy to help those that don’t live in our area with food, but you have to be able to come & get it. ❤️

Because we know that working families sometimes need food also, we will be able to make some appointments in the evenings- as needed & requested, for those families just getting off of work at 5pm or 5:30pm, to come & get groceries.

We are trying to post a couple of hours in advance today.

At 3pm today, if you need extra food for your homes, stop by. 19975 NW 244th St Unit 30 High Springs, FL 32643. We will have a TREMENDOUS amount of Breads & Desserts. Bagels, Donuts, Cake Slices, Whole Cakes, Danishes, Pastries, Muffins, Cupcakes, Croissants, Loaf Bread, Sliced Bread, Donut Holes, Hot Dog & Hamburger Buns, Pies, Cookies & a large variety of items. All from Winn Dixie & Publix.

We don’t know how many yet, but we will also have some freshly plated Heat & Eat Meals, compliments of Southern Taste Cafe of Alachua. Smothered Chicken, Greens & Rice. 🍽️ We also will have some plates of warm Chilli & cornbread. Heat & eat meals will be limited to one per person if an abundance of families show up.
