Once again, Pirate Larry had the privilege and honor to play at Kindred Physical Therapy Hospital in Hollywood, Fl. These are patients recovering from surgeries, illness and accidents that require therapy. Nurse Michelle brings various activities to break up the weeks of being hospitalized. Music is also a therapy for the mind, and we appreciate that she invites us to provide some smiles for a couple of hours. This month we honored Cancer Awareness, hence all the pink balloons. Ice cream and pink lemonade. I have to tell you, seeing them playing the tambourines, shakers and clavs and the smiles on their faces is a great therapy for us too. Thanks Nurse Michelle

September Birthday Celebration was a fun night for all. Happy Birthday to our 4 birthday celebrants! Frenchie kept us with full glasses and bottles, while Debbie returned from her summer hiatus to serve a wonder Spaghetti and Meatball dinner. Pirate Larry provided a continuous stream of your favorite Country, Beach, Rock, and Oldies music all night. Thanks to our guest singers who got in their favorite tune. Also, shout out to all around the Cantina who provide their unique form of entertainment of tall stories and off the wall comments.....yep, nobody is immune....which makes it fun!

What a great day for Post 92 on Labor Day. All seats and tables were full.
The Auxiliary under the leadership of Barabara helped achieve monies for some new barstools thru 50/50 drawing, the Bottle drawings and the cake auctions. Thanks to all who participated in these fun activities that help our Post.
Where else at any other Post could you get as many ribs and brat sauges, both in regular and spicy? And choices for sides and dessert were off the charts. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Then most hit the dance floor or sat back to listen for several hours of a variety of music. Lori kept all of our beverages full with her big smile as always. Thanks to Mary and Delores for all the setting up and cleaning. Thanks Vita for selling dinner tickets and Patricia for selling 50/50 tickets. Thanks to Nancy for also setting up and being a great Roadie.
Thanks to everyone who came. Thanks Commander Joe for a great day.
......but who was that wildman that cooked, auctioneered and played the entertainer, then was given a big cake by a big guy?? Thank all of you!

Another fun night for Post 310 Birthday celebration. Pamela and Johnny were the celebrants for the night. Pamela also served her wonderful Spaghetti and Meatball dinner. Frenchie kept all our glasses full. Thanks to the guest singers, those who made some special song request as Pirate Larry played hits of the 60s , 70's and 80's. Appreciate all the support.

Saturday is our monthly Happy Birthday for all the members and friends and supporters of the American Legion Post 310 in Hallandale.
Come out and celebrate those that made it another year!!!! Chef Pamela is pitch hitting again this month for Debbie, so come enjoy her delicious $5 Spaghetti and Meatball dinner. Frenchie serving the drinks and all your favorite music by Pirate Larry.

Wow...we had a very music oriented group of patients at Kindred Physical Therapy Hospital Saturday afternoon. The requests started slowly then they came fast from many directions. Roadie Nancy and I enjoy entertaining these mostly wheel chair bound patients and those in the bed down the hall. Nurse Michelle gives us this opportunity to put smiles on their faces, and as several always say...bring back memories. But most of all it gives them a chance to get away from the hospital setting and therapy they endure for weeks. And Nurse Michelle always has a special theme...Watermelon Day this time. They love playing along with the tambourine, cow bell, shakers and clavs. It is certainly a great privilege to entertain and we stay to play as long as we can till it's time for their dinner. Thanks Nurse Michelle.

Grumpy Gary's on Sunday was the place to be. Great food, cold beverages and live music by Pirate Larry playing all your favorite songs . Stacie and Birthday girl Cari made sure you had the best drinks served up fast. All of the wait staff and cooks served up the tasty food and treats. Party continued with cake and the singing of Happy Birthday celebrations for Cari and patron Erick (thanks for celebrating at Grumpy Garys). Big thanks for the "Band"..all those who played the tambourine, shakers, cow bell and clavs on several songs...after all, it's all about having fun! See you next month!

I have a return engagement for a private St. Patrick's Day party this Saturday night. These people know how to throw a party. We had a great time last year and have been looking forward to this event. Next Friday we play at the Kindred Physical Rehab Hospital and then on Sunday, St Patrick's Day at American Legion Post 92 in Hollywood. More info on that to come. Have a wonderful weekend, Mateys!

Friday Night at the Moose! Come on out for the ham and scalloped potato dinner for $10. Enjoy your favorite beverages at the Cantina. Sing along, tap your feet, play tambourine or other instruments to your favorite songs performed by Pirate Larry. It all starts at 6 pm. Come on out and support your Moose.

When you have repeated great experiences making people happy and forgetting their troubles and even bring back some great memories.....and you think it can't get any better.....then you're blown away. Yesterday Pirate Larry Music LLC with Roadie Nancy set up and played for some of the ambulatory patients at Kindred Hospital. Nurse Michelle helps break up the patient stays with ever-changing activities and events. All the patients and staff love her. We brought some percussion items for the patients to play along with. By the end of the session, they were asking when we go on the road....we had a volunteer to drive the bus even. To say everyone had a great time would be an understatement. If you look at everyone, you will see it was also Crazy Hat Day that Michelle provided to the patients. We deviated off the planned music list as most songs played were requests from the patients. We played old country, new country, Oldies from 50s, 60s rock, and 70s hard rock for almost 2 hours. The patient band sounded really good on all the songs. We wish all the patients a speedy recovery and look forward to our next visit. Thanks Nurse Michelle for all you do. Will post more pics in separate post since FB won't let you mix movies and pics.

Thanks to all who supported the American Legion Post 310 last Saturday for the November Birthdays. If you missed it, you missed Debbie's great Spaghetti Dinner, Steve's great Cantina service, the birthday celebration for French is, and a night of great music by Pirate Larry and guest singers. Thanks to Uncle Charlie and his harmonica. We will do it all again in December.

Another fun night at Post 310 last Saturday as we celebrated September Birthdays...Lynn and mine. Thanks Debbie for the cake. Debbie's Spaghetti dinner was excellent and Steve kept the cold drinks flowing. Thanks to the dancers and those who guest sung a few songs....it takes some courage to get and sing in front of your friends. Also appreciate those who made song requests as we covered several of those. Look forward to Oct 7 for those of you with October birthdays.

Last Sunday at Grumpy Gary's in the old Docker's location on US1 was such fun. Pirate Nation came out to support my first performance at Grumpy Gary's. Thanks Pirate Nation for your support. A lot of Pirate Toasts, some Did You Know questions to laugh at, back and forth banter with the crowd and over 50 songs made for a great Sunday afternoon. Thank you Gary and Jenn for letting Pirate Larry Music LLC be a part of your live entertainment.

Thanks to all who came out last night to the Mirimar Moose Lodge for the great food from Mickey, cold drinks from Steve and all of you for dancing or listening to the music. All the requests were appreciated. See on Aug 4th.

A few weeks back, had privilege to play at Mickey's Tiki Bar in Pampano Beach. A well known Biker bar for great food and drinks and a big stage under the tent for live bands to play each weekend. I enjoyed playing the Friday Happy Hour in the iconic bar dedicated to everything motorcycles. As you listen, you can hear the bar mascot (a large rottweiler) getting into the song "Jumping Jack Flash". Thanks Alan for hiring Pirate Larry Music LLC.

The Monthly Birthday celebration for March Birthdays last Saturday night at American Legion Post 310 was really fun for the almost full house. The spaghetti dinner by Debbie as tasty and filling, as were the cold drinks served up by Steve. Thanks to all who came and made it a great night. Thank you Professor for letting Pirate Larry Music LLC be the entertainment for the celebration.
