The Cooper Hawks showed up in January 2023 in full force and "tag team" on my doves. I suffered a loss of four birds, that were a part of the hawk's buffet that I'm aware of. The birds will be on lockdown for the remainder of the winter months. I will start back conducting White Dove Releases and training after mid-April. In the meantime, I'm busy breeding my birds and banding the babies.

The Hawk showed up looking for a Buffet today...But was in for a disappointment. I have the Doves on lockdown the remainder of the Winter, due to the lost of at least four to them. This one appears to be eating good by the size of it.

Save the date! The 2018 Remember My Name Domestic Violence Vigil will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 5:15 p.m. in front of the Cumberland County Courthouse. The Smith Sixteen Troupe will provide entertainment. Major Stacey Cohen will be our guest speaker. A dove ceremony will take place honoring the Cumberland County victims of domestic violence. The names of all North Carolina domestic violence victims over the past year will be read. Please join us as we pause to honor those victims.

Classic Wedding Dove Release
A large beautiful heart shaped white wicker basket containing two pure white doves (or two small heart shaped white wicker baskets containing one dove each) will be handed to the Bride and Groom. They will release the two doves into the air as part of the ceremony. A hand held release can be arranged to provide a more involved release. The doves will be handed to you and after a photo opportunity, you will release the two doves into the air.

The perfect way to honor a military member, police officer, firefighter, public servant, or any loved one. The 21 "dove" salute follows the same guidelines as the 21 gun salute. 7 Doves will be released from 3 separate baskets within seconds of each other.
