The Allman Betts Family Revival is this Sunday, December 1 at the State Theatre.
The Allman Betts Band will be performing songs by Gregg Allman and Dickie Betts and will feature guest performances throughout the show. Scheduled to appear with the Allman Betts Band are Luther and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi All-Stars), Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie and Jeff Beck), Anders Osborne, Larry McCray, Lindsay Lou, Jackie Greene, Lamar Williams, Jr., Alex Orbison and recently added are Robert Randolph, Greg Koch and Sierra Green. Rick Wakeman October 17 at the Fitzgerald Theatre. This amazing keyboardist has played with Yes, Strawbs, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe as well as on tracks by David Bowie, Elton John, Marc Bolan and Lou Reed. He has also released over 100 solo albums. This should be an awesome night of music.

The Allman Betts Family Revival is an annual live event extravaganza hosted by the sons of Allman Brothers Band founders Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts…Devon Allman & Duane Betts respectively. Based loosely on vibes that recall “The Last Waltz,” this yearly celebration brings together the finest names in Blues, Americana, Country and Rock to celebrate the timeless catalog of the legendary Allman Brothers Band. Past notable collaborators include Robert Randolph, Marcus King, Jason Isbell, Sierra Hull, Sierra Ferrell, Robin Zander, Tal Wilkenfeld, Charlie Starr and many many more. Gibson Guitars has been the yearly sponsor of the coast to coast tour that’s become known as “the jam of the year.” This year the band and its epic cast will celebrate both the Duane Allman 1970’s era and the 1990’s comeback era with two sizzling sets, celebrating the enduring songs and the art of the jam.
