Brunch wedding anyone? We are all about mixing up the traditional and unexpected to do your wedding your way. This wedding featured brunch in the garden complete with a scrumptious brunch buffet, potted plants for guests to take home, morning cocktails, and an espresso bar. Absolute perfection!

The perfect fit for this role will have at least 1-2 years experience in the event industry and be ready to take on client work relatively quickly after being trained in our systems and processes.

✨Fall Intern
No experience necessary, just a willingness to jump in and work hard to make magic for our clients! Responsibilities may include assisting with Fall weddings, backend planning tasks, and ownership of an intern project that spans the Fall season. Paid position and can also be used for class credit if necessary.

Let’s talk venues. This is often one of the first decisions you make when you start planning your wedding and it sets the tone for everything else! Here are some key things to consider when looking at a venue -

✨Rain Backup Plan - no one wants to think about this but having a bad weather plan that you love just as much as your good weather plan will set you up for a much better wedding week if the weather turns sour!

✨Aesthetic - pretty self explanatory! Does the overall style fit with your dream design?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Vendors - do they allow you to work with vendors you love or require you to work off a short list?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Getting Ready - is there space for your wedding party size to get ready? If not, is there an easy location to accomplish this nearby?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Transportation - is your venue in a central location where guests can easily and safely Uber back to where they are staying? Will you need to provide guest shuttles?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Cost - this is so much more than comparing rental price to rental price. Think other implications such as if bar is in house, if you have a set list of caterers to choose from, what is included in the rental, what decor you will need to bring in to make the space match your design, etc. This is a big topic with it’s own post coming soon!

Timing is everything - especially when it comes to lighting on your big day! From the start of the planning process, we'll put together a preliminary timeline to guide you through what to expect on wedding day when booking vendors.

Common timing mistakes we see when booking without a preliminary timeline in place…

- Choosing a ceremony time on the invitations that doesn't leave you with time for the photos you want. This is especially true if you're opting for no first look as all of your couple portraits will need to be done after ceremony!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Scheduling hair and makeup to be complete too close to ceremony time. People are often surprised by how much time is needed between completion of hair and makeup services and beginning of ceremony. This again will vary depending on your pre-ceremony photos, if traveling to another location, etc.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Photo and video will also be highly impacted by your timeline. Most photographers and videographers will offer standard packages to get you started but your unique timing may require additional hours.
