My first Vermont wedding design and I couldn’t be happier with the clean, modern aesthetic that they bride and I collaborated on. With a little natural, rustic twist, the Details tri-fold mountain card wrapped around the invitation for something interactive and functional.

Austin, TX weddings are like that--classic yet quirky. Watercolor lion statues and a checkered floor from the were incorporated into the unconventional duogram save the date. The details card border inspired by the light fixtures in the restaurant, and a whimsical painting of the entrance inside the envelope.

A rainy Monday (possible tornadoes? 😬) calls for some winter cheer with this suite I’m excited to share more of.

This mini, pressed invitation card flips up under a baby’s breath wax seal to reveal a pressed details card. My past two posts have shown details cards bigger than the invitation card so have a little fun and don’t limit yourself. The bit of interaction here is fun too and invites the guest to ‘unbox’ and discover their own special invitation (more of that in this suite also coming up).

A comment stationers hear often is “it just gets tossed in the trash.” Aside from being plain rude (😂), please consider that ALL details build upon each other in order to create that fantastic event. In fact, your paper goods stay with your guests the longest—months and not just a weekend. And if we’re going to carry this comment into other services, how do you justify music, catering, lighting, flowers, etc.? In fact, most of these items only serve a temporary purpose. But there’s only one that gets them to the party 😉.

If you thought those acrylic beetle specimens were just for looks, they actually had a functional aspect too. Each of the details cards had a hole cut out in order to stack and hang onto the acrylic without sliding around in the envelope.
