Whenever I photograph a wedding at Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Collection I make sure to sneak into the library for a few couples portraits. The wooden paneled walls and velvet accents create the perfect backdrop.

From Austin to Mexico, I’ve photographed weddings of every scale. But Renick and Louie’s Four Seasons Austin wedding was a masterclass in quiet luxury and intentional design. Seventeen people, one beloved dog, and a palpable sense of presence that filled every moment. Renick and Louie will celebrate again with a larger gathering in Buffalo, New York, later this year, but here in Austin, they gave themselves permission to slow down.

About Julie Wilhite Photography

I’m a wife, baby-snuggler and travel-obsessed wedding photographer that adores capturing love stories for a living. I am based out of Austin, TX but I pretty much use my job as an excuse to travel the world. On any given day, you can find me making lots of coffee, eating breakfast tacos with my son, headed to the farmer’s market or enjoying the outdoors. And if I get to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening? My day was perfect.

My photography is authentic, organic and filled with joy. My passion lies in capturing two people who are truly in love, who love their family and want to elegantly celebrate dedicating their lives to one another. I’ve been told I have a calming presence (which with a yoga-teacher sister, it may run in the family) and will make you laugh, calm your nerves and help you enjoy your day, all while capturing the moments of two people who are madly in love. When you look back at the photos from your wedding day, I want those memories to come rushing back – all of them, the immense joy, happiness and love that was felt.
