One of my favorite venues in Austin is the Grand Lady Austin

The Grand Lady was built in 1881 as a wedding present for The Walton family and has been updated to include modern amenities. This is the perfect venue for a couple looking for privacy without worrying about multiple weddings happening at the same location. You get access to the full 20-acre site, with the 8-room mansion available for use the entire day.

Their on-site bedrooms and bathrooms make beautiful getting-ready areas, allowing you to relax and enjoy the space.

As an Austin wedding photographer who loves working with couples who care about design and guest experience, this Proper Hotel wedding was a dream to document. Olivia & Jack created a lush indoor garden in the middle of downtown Austin, complete with velvet lounges, a live cigar roller, and a floral-covered custom bar. It was equal parts celebration and sensory experience.

After a cloudy morning, the sun broke through just in time for Priya and Jake’s Christian ceremony, which took place outdoors beneath a canopy of twinkle-lit Texas Live Oak. A soft semicircle of flowers framed the altar, and when Priya walked down the aisle with her father, every guest could feel the emotion.

Laney & Thomas’ wedding was a kaleidoscope of jewel tones. Deep pinks, oranges, rusts, golds, and burgundies played together, perfect for this fall wedding. Dripping Bougainvillea, garden roses, ranunculus, daisies, parrot tulips, and flame lilies were the focus of the flowers throughout. Bridesmaids stunned in dresses ranging from floral patterns to sequins and satin in varying shades of pink and fuchsia.
