One of the things I had to shift around at short notice was the design portfolio reveal for one of my sweet new couples Valerie & Mark to the day before my daughters’s birth. They loved everything about it and it just made my heart melt!

It’s been an interesting roller coaster for me the last few weeks. Meetings on top of meetings, designs, day-of prep and as I look at the calendar the ish is just not slowing down. But what I’m gonna do is celebrate the small wins while the workload is heavy...like sliding into the weekend! I’m ready...what’s on your agenda this weekend? Relaxing? Booked with events? Chillin with the fam?

Here's how to handle it:
1. Have a heart to heart with the whole group so no one feels singled out. Let them all know that this is a really stressful time and it means the world to you that they support you but if for any reason they want to back out-no hard feelings.

2. Speak to each of the ladies individually. They have lives too, so continue to be the friend you've always been. Check in with them and make sure they are ok, they may be going through something
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3.Let them know upfront (like when you invite them to join your wedding party) what you expect. Something like, "Yes there will be a couple of parties before the wedding I would like you to do your best to attend and you may have to pay for your hair and makeup, dress and flight - is that cool with you?"

4. If you are getting a bad feeling -do not ignore that intuition. It's best to ask them to step down early one instead of the night before, after they've already booked a flight, paid for a dress, etc.
