One of the awesome things about painting with kids is all the fun requests. Recent requests have been matching mother-son infinity stone head-pieces, Ariel (always!), Elsa (another huge favorite), and lots of sports logos (like the Houston Texans, the Philly Eagles and the Chicago Bears). So when we have the time, we love to get creative! Sometimes the “big kids” have fun requests for us too, and it is so fun to be able to share a little paint and hear the stories behind the request. Here are a couple of photos from our night with the precious kids at the Ronald McDonald House (sadly we never get to capture them all!). We made a “fairy” addition to a rose tattoo for one of the volunteers, and one of the kids from Chicago requested Totoro (and was matched by one of the volunteers as well)! Did we mention we love our job?

It’s hard to believe that 2023 is already here, and we hardly know how the time flew by! But here it is – 2023, all glowing and bright. This morning we woke up to a quiet fog, and it felt strangely still in contrast with the rockets and fireworks of last night’s celebration. But next we knew, the sun was shining. And life is like that, isn't it? We can never know what the future holds, but we have passed a few seasons on this earth; enough to know that the sun will eventually come out, and something good inevitably lies around the corner. We cross the threshold of the New Year with high hearts, and a prayer. —May the New Year be beautiful, and blessed for all of us, and may we be a part of bringing something beautiful wherever we go. We hope that your New year is happy, and that you will have peace and strength, and hope in your heart as you take the adventure the road brings. Happy travels, and Happy New Year!

We are ready for the pumpkin patch & ready for another sweet pumpkin season! There is so much to fall in love with in the fall, and our balloon art and face painting is gorgeous as ever! We'll be all around town this month – hope to see you soon!

Deep in the heart of Texas – the folks are nice, and the sunshine (seemingly) never ends. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and we suppose that’s true, even though our work is mostly with the little ones. But even though we’re just making balloons and painting faces, making little hearts happy makes our hearts feel full, so every little heart is big to us! Maybe sometimes “big” is simply in the way you see things! We’re rockin’ our art and it comes from the heart, so I guess in a way we’re keepin’ the he(art) in Texas alive, & we are rocking to a sweet beat. Bet we can rock your party too – give us a call; there is nothing a little heart (and some awesome art) can’t do!

We had such a joyful year! We were so happy to get to share our art with kids, and to bring our fun balloons and shimmering face paint to all the places we visited. And we are grateful that kids are still having birthdays, and that families are still making time to get together and celebrate the ones they love. These cuties have filled our hearts with joy, and it has been our honor to serve the Houston area with our fun balloons and face painting art! Thank you for being a beautiful part of our year!

Our Story

In 1995 we were first introduced to ‘balloon animals’ through a friend. From there we unknowingly embarked on an amazing journey making balloons for kids. We decided to add fun costumes and face painting along the way, and we had no idea it would turn into anything more than simply making kids happy. And interestingly enough, it hasn’t – we are still doing exactly that: making kids happy. And we’re happy to be doing it. Not only happy, but proud to provide a simple service that somehow goes beyond a colorful balloon or a painted rainbow.

It is the joy of seeing families and friends smile, laugh, and come together over a painted butterfly or an “Elmo” balloon. It’s the smile that warms your heart when you watch a little girl’s eyes light up when they meet our “princess” Dolly characters, or the excitement in a boy’s eyes as he rushes off with a spiderman balloon to “catch the bad guys.” And as someone calls out “Smile!” and a shutter clicks, we know the memories we helped create will last a lifetime.

We have four lovely children, one puppy (and one niece!) whom we love dearly, a great family, good friends and a happy job…

Life is good. :)
