Vegan Friday Fajitas were so good that we had them again on Saturday for dinner. This morning, we could not find our favorite gf, vegan breakfast sausage to go with our vegan pancakes, so I had to make my own, not bad. I would give it a seven out of 10.

The Vegan Cafe Story

The Vegan Cafe opened April 13, 2009 through September 23, 2013, inside of SHAPE Community Center’s Live Oak building in the historic part of Houston, Texas, presently known as The Third Ward area of Houston. The Vegan Cafe, at that time, shared the commercial kitchen with other businesses, as well as, with the Community Center itself. The Vegan Cafe prepared food that helped those who were making a transition into plant-based eating, and for those who had been Vegan, or Raw Vegan for years.

When out and about we are frequently asked, by our previous customers, if we are preparing food at another location, or if there are plans to open up another location. At this present time, The Vegan Cafe does not have any other locations and TVC is not looking to open another location any time soon.

The reasons we have decided to keep this page are:


  • If and when we do decide to open again, The Vegan Cafe will use this page as one of the first primary advertisements of a new location.
