AFFIDAVIT OF ABSENT APPLICANT

There is a new address procedure for the Affidavit of Absent Applicant. We still suggest sending two copies in case he or the notary make a mistake as there can be NO errors or scratch outs. Blank or prefilled forms only, NO correspondence.

I attended the TDCJ Summit in Houston on Oct 21, 2023 for one reason, get some help with the problems we are having with the affidavits since going to digital mail. I followed up with emails last week and finally, we have a NEW PROCESS for the Affidavit of Absent Applicant.

The unit librarians should have the new procedure but let me know if you have any problems and I will follow and work it out for you.
