Hi everyone! As many of you know I have transitioned my business to mostly serving weddings this year so I haven't had the opportunity to post about my mini session offerings as early in the year as I normally like to..

Time is my brother’s handprints that remained on my mother’s dresser mirror for over 20 years

Time is a teacher

Time is a prophet

Time is that sinking feeling you get when you spend it unwisely

Time gave you the most magnificent gift that can be bestowed on any one person

Time is the only gift that MUST be spent. It can not be saved up for a later date.

How do you choose spend it?

My mother‘a cancer hell is flaring. She is back in emergency at the hospital. I am so thankful I have the ability to choose to spend my time with her right now.

I wish I could bottle up all the love in the world and channel it right into her body and soul. ♥️💔♥️ Who knows how much time we really have left.

It’s been a super exciting month, full of vendor events!!

Off season is when creatives connect and make big big plans for the year! I’ve had so much fun lately networking and connecting with other professionals who value community over competition, especially at our .e_collective event last weekend. There are many more fun and exciting things coming up in the next few weeks that highlight photographer education and opportunity!

I’ve been hard at work planning the Monet Dreams styled shoot with the amazing planner and with the help of my good friend ! I’ve been studying Impressionism and the love and life of Monet Claude to bring elements of his story into our project.

Claude Monet’s romantic life was filled with interesting and noteworthy moments - Here are a few fun facts I’ve learned.

✨Camille Doncieux: Monet’s relationship with Camille Doncieux, his muse and first wife, greatly influenced his art. She modeled for many of his paintings, including the famous “Women in the Garden.” (The New Pronovias gown on my sister co. page was named Camille after her and will be featured in one of the 8 scenes at the shoot)

✨Second Marriage: After Camille’s death, Monet married Alice Hoschedé, who had been a friend and supporter during his difficult times. Alice played a crucial role in Monet’s life and art. (Another gown we named after his love, you can see on page designed by EvaLandel we named Alice)

✨Blended Family: Monet and Alice had a blended family, as Alice brought her six children from her previous marriage into the relationship. Monet cared for them as his own, showing his dedication to family.

✨Giverny: Monet’s picturesque home in Giverny became a sanctuary for his family and a source of inspiration for his art. The beautiful gardens and water lilies at Giverny were featured in many of his later works. (You will see water Lillie’s and beautiful structure at our venue )

✨ Legacy of Love: Monet’s devotion to his family and his passion for capturing the beauty of nature in his art left a lasting legacy. His romantic relationships and personal life continue to be celebrated and studied by art enthusiasts and historians.

When packing your details box for your wedding photographer to capture, it’s important to consider including items that are meaningful and representative of your special day. Here are some tips on what to include in your details box:

✨Wedding Rings: Make sure to include both the bride and groom’s wedding rings in the details box.

✨Invitation Suites: Include your wedding invitation (2 copies is optimal), save-the-date card, and any other stationery items that were part of your wedding suite.

✨Bridal Accessories: Pack items such as your veil, shoes, jewelry, and any other accessories you’ll be wearing on the big day.

✨Bouquet and Boutonniere: Don’t forget to include the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere in the details box. It’s also so important to ask your florist ahead of time for some loose stems to include.

✨Personalized Items: Consider including any personalized items that are significant to you as a couple, such as a monogrammed handkerchief, a special gift or love note, or a sentimental item that holds meaning for both of you.

✨Special Touches: Add any special touches that reflect your wedding theme or style, such as a piece of fabric from a family heirloom, a meaningful trinket, or any other decorative elements that will enhance the photos.

Plan to give your photographer at-least 45 minutes at the beginning of your timeline in order to assure you have these carefully curated images in your final gallery. When included they really put the icing on your cake when telling your story in your wedding album. 🤍

Celebrating love around the world involves a rich tapestry of traditions and customs. Here are a few popular ones:

1. **Valentine’s Day**: Celebrated on February 14th in many countries, it is a day to express love and affection through gifts, cards, and romantic gestures.

2. **White Day**: In some Asian countries like Japan and South Korea, White Day on March 14th is when men reciprocate gifts to women who gave them chocolates on Valentine’s Day.

3. **Dia dos Namorados**: In Brazil, Dia dos Namorados, or Lover’s Day, is celebrated on June 12th with couples exchanging gifts and spending time together. .. fun fact: your gal here is Brazilian! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Bespoke Moon was an Asian monochrome styled wedding inspired by the symbol of the moon and how it is so deeply rooted in the culture. My dear friend Rebecca put so many hours into planning every intricate detail from including hand made traditional bugaji favors to painting the flatlay background to reflect textures of the moon. The space was adorned with stunning florals and fan displays with the goal of reflecting a rich heritage and timeless traditions. Witnessing it all come together in this stunningly lit venue truly reminded us of the beauty and diversity that exists in the world. It was such a wonderful day spent with amazing fellow wedding professionals 🤍

Why do I pay so close attention to bridal hair ? Because it often was so carefully curated by the bride and her stylist and it is part of the wedding planning journey. Brides often get 1-2 hair trials before their big day and the conversation leading up to it is usually lots of different styles deliberated over for weeks. I know when I was a bride myself, that was also my story.

I find it’s seldom that brides get close up shots of their hair piece details while actually in their hair. I feel like it is an essential shot to me because it took so much heart and planning to match your gown perfectly and pick a style that frames your face the best. So it’s a detail in your story I never want to miss.

Photography is that for me!!

But so has been enjoying the small things in life, like reading a poem, taking deep breaths of fresh air while on a hike, enjoying a frothy coffee, singing and dancing in the kitchen, snuggling with my pup, kissing my babies goodnight, warming my toes on my husband 🤣

These are all such small things that are so easy to take for granted. They became so clear to me last summer when I broke my foot and had surgery and I literally couldn’t move for a week .. it was so hard to do any single one of those things .. so it really taught me to be so thankful that I would be able to again one day.

It taught me to relish in every opportunity moving forward and to always make time for those small joys.

Social media posts have taken a back seat to my client communication again! It’s been a very exciting start to the new year with many wedding consultation calls on the books, sending out contracts and planning big and exciting content opportunities to share with other industry professionals!! I can’t wait to share it all with you in the coming months!

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is while the bride is getting ready. A lot of people think this time isn’t an essential time to have photography coverage for but in my opinion it is one of the most important moments of the day.

When you have images of getting your jewelry, shoes and dress on and then have time to get special bridal shots like this the morning of, it makes your wedding album so cohesive and really allows it to tell a story of the whole experience. Which is one that you won’t want to forget a single second of.

Hey everyone! We’re a little over a week into the New Year already!!

I had such a blast with yesterday, getting to see her new studio and working with a wonderful group of ladies, making our vision boards and setting goals for 2024. We talked about different ways to do that. Nikki told us about a new idea. Instead of a resolution per-say, she mentioned picking a word that can be the theme of the year. I absolutely love that idea so I decided to chose the word GROWTH.

I am more committed to that than ever!! New branding, including a website and lots of new content coming to your feed in 2024!

Who else gets winter blues!? It can’t just be me 🤪 .. my husband suggested that I try and find something to love about winter to put a spin on things and help me get through the cold days. Well my friends, I have found it.

Winter weddings, filled with so much charm. Especially this one that literally had the most perfect winter blue tones!

Last night I got to experience the most lovely evening with Samantha and Carl. Their nuptials took place in the most magnificently beautiful sanctuary adorned with holiday florals and candles. The decor at for their reception was coordinated so perfectly.

The speeches were filled with so much love and the guests shared so many laughs. They touched on how this couple has such a mutual love of poetry, and a few favorite quotes were shared. The candle lit tables were the perfect touch for a truly romantic day for everyone present 🤍
