The annual "Cool August Days" is only 2 weeks away. Beat the Heat and come play some Public Safety Softball right near the Beach! For all the Inland Empire Teams, time to roll out to HB, and ball with the cool calm breezes from the Pacific Ocean blowing in, keeping the temperatures down while you are on the fields & at the plate.

9-11 Memorial Tournament - Saturday September 16th

*** Location Change for this one also (date remains the same). The venue for this event has changed to the Tustin Sports Complex, in the heart of Orange County. We will complete all pool play games then pause prior to bracket play, for a moment of silence, to pay tribute to all the Americans that lost their lives on September 11th 2001, including our Public Safety Brethren, and also, for all that have served, received injuries, and even made the ultimate sacrifice for our country during the 2+ decades since the 9-11 tragedy. Come out to ball in the 9-11 Memorial Tournament to pay tribute to our Public Safety Brothers and Sisters!

2023 Tournament of Champions!

SUNDAY Oct. 1st - Mile Square Park - Fountain Valley

This is a 1 day, "Winner Take All" event to Crown the 2023 TOC Champions! Teams will complete their pool play games, then select a "Blind Draw Envelope" to be placed on the brackets for the remainder of Tournament play. In the past we have seen all the tough teams end up on the same side of the bracket beating each other up all day, making the other side of the bracket smooth sailing all the way to the finals. Which side will your team draw???

The Big Perpetual TOC Champions Trophy will be on site for the TOC Champions pic!

Prize package to include custom Team sublimated Jerseys & Large bottles of a Variety of different booze to help you celebrate your upcoming Holiday parties, and the winning team will be forever enshrined on the big perpetual Guns & Hoses TOC Champions Trophy.

Summer SLUGFEST!

July 22nd & 23rd

Big League Dreams Sportspark Cathedral City

Summer Slugfest - Unlimited HR's Tournament

Our annual Summer Slugfest "Unlimited Home Runs" Tournament will once again be a 2-day event at Big League Dreams Sports park in Cathedral City on July 22nd & 23rd. This event will be a "5 game guarantee". All teams will play 3 pool games on Saturday during the morning hours while the temperatures are down. After your round robin games are done, go back to the Hotel swimming pool and have a great afternoon and evening hanging out with your team. All teams come back on Sunday morning for the Double-elimination brackets portion of the tournament.

We will have two separate divisions (Upper & Lowers) for this tournament.

Host Hotel info for the Summer Slugfest is the newly remodeled and renovated Hampton Inn & Suites, in Cathedral City (only 1 mile from BLD). We were able to secure amazing rates for G & H players at only $104 per night (down from $150+ per night) for Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights. This rate comes with FREE full buffet all-you-can-eat breakfast each morning with eggs, breads, fruits, breakfast meats, coffees, juices, etc. This hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and one of the Agua Caliente Casino's.

Or, the other option many teams do, is to rent a large AirB&B for the whole team for the weekend as well. This tournament is all about the camaraderie and team building experience with family and friends.

Lastly, if there is enough interest, we will host a Home Run Derby on Saturday and the prizes for 1st place will be a Brand new (in the wrapper) Miken bat, 2nd & 3rd place will be Brand new Bat bags.

Summer Showdown!

Saturday June 24th

Tustin Sports Park

Next up is the annual one day "Summer Showdown" tournament, Saturday June 24th in the beautiful city of Tustin, CA. This will be a 3 game minimum and all teams qualify for playoffs. Two separate divisions (Uppers & Lowers). This complex has three fields, plush grass, playgrounds for the kids, and a cafe style snack bar serving breakfast, lunch, and drinks, including gourmet coffee options. Beat the Heat and come play some Public Safety Softball in Orange County!

**** FINAL CALL for Rosters. The deadline to submit your team roster to enter this event is: this THURSDAY the 18th at 1800 hours. Pool play schedules will be sent to Team Captains later Thursday evening****

*** If you are a FREE AGENT looking to ball (if your regular team isn't in this one), then just like Uncle Sam... Teams are looking for YOU!!! So, please reply to this email if you are interested in playing in this one and we'll get you on a good team!

The 2023 Drinko De Mayo event will be a "4 game minimum" for all teams. Three pool games for seeding, followed by single elimination brackets.

If your team hasn't played yet this season, this is a great opportunity for your team to "shake the dust off" and get a lot of hacks & field time.

We will be using Yankee stadium, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field at BLD. The restaurant and bar with all the big screen TV's will have all the major sports games on during your game breaks in the restaurant lounge area. The weather is great in Cathedral City during the month of May!

We are looking to see if BLD will offer drink/food specials for this event as well.
