The Owner | Jacki Gil 👋🏻

Born and raised in Grant, Alabama, Jacki has loved paper and design from an early age—scrapbooking Beanie Babies, perfecting her cursive, and filling the kitchen table with crafts. She earned a degree in Advertising & Studio Art from the University of Alabama but quickly realized big design firms weren’t for her. Instead, she built a business rooted in creativity and passion.

Now based in Huntsville, Jacki is always on the hunt for the next best font. She lives in a cozy home with her husband, Rudy, and their two daughters, Gemma & Pippa. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her at Rosie’s Cantina, the beach, or planning the next Disney trip. 😉

Here’s a peek into the heart and soul behind Salt + Paperie:

The Name | Salt + Paperie
We wanted something that really encompassed our lifestyle & our spirit. We are definitely beach people—we love the sea, the sand, and the salt. Salt preserves things—like invitations preserve a special moment in your life. Salt is left after you have a good sweat—we are definitely not afraid of hard work. We believe in ‘the Salt of the earth’—we can do nothing without Jesus! And, we are definitely salt-on-our-margaritas kind of people! 🍹 We are all about the salt.

Now the paperie part: paperie (pronounced paper-”e”) is the English derived word from the French word papeterie, which means “packaged fancy stationery.” Those things combined are perfectly Salt + Paperie. ✨
