Well, the great MOTHMAN figure is finally finished. Here are shots with his wings and forearms attached and two shots with his eyes all aglow. He stands 6' tall from the floor to the top of his head and 7' to the top of his wings. We're installing him in the Mothman Black Light Mini-Golf Course in Pt. Pleasant the middle of this coming week. When those black lights hit him he will SHINE!!!

So the first episode of my friend Ronn Smith's "Doctor Who" fan film "MINDBOMB" is finally up for public viewing. I know it's been a while since I've posted anything new here but that's mainly because I haven't had anything to post that involved monsters. But here's one finally. This is a project I'm currently working on, a lifesize statue of the Mothman being made for the new Mothman Indoor Black Light Mini-Golf Course which will be located above the Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant, WV and will have its grand opening this fall. This is the very first thing I've ever sculpted from block styrofoam and it's proving to be very enjoyable. I'm busy carving out his forearms today but he'll also have fiberglass wings and his eyes will be red and will light up. His body will be covered with a coat of durable resin and then painted black. I look forward to doing more styrofoam projects like this one. Comments and critique are always welcome. :-)
