🎄 Christmas in July! 🎄

We are beginning our plans for the fall and Christmas season and we are super excited for everything we have coming up for the second half of 2024!

We are kicking off planning the season with a 🍝 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Monday, July 29. The proceeds from this event will help allow us to add and replace lights and Christmas decor and create a destination for our community and beyond to visit and enjoy throughout the holidays.

We still have two night markets remaining that we are seeking sponsorships for.

August 22 - Western Night
September 19 - Football Night

Our August 22 date is the kick off to the WV Cupcake Festival and the advertising from this night market will also be included in the marketing publications for the festival. The WV Cupcake Festival brings in visitors from all over the state of West Virginia and surrounding states.

Sponsorship includes:

🔹 Business or organization will be recognized on our social media channels as well as at the event through signing and announcements.
🔹 In addition, we will also provide a one-sided field sign with your company/business logo (a $500 value) that will be displayed on one of our fields for one year with the option of renewing the sign next year.
🔹 Sponsors will also be provided with a space for all 6 Night Markets if they wish to attend (a $100 value).
🔹 Sponsor will be provided with signing recognizing them as the event sponsor at their chosen Night Market
🔹 Banner will be hung on the Main Stage recognizing sponsor at the night market event

Did you know?? Hometown Park is part of our Putnam County Parks system and offers a fantastic place for birthday parties, showers, family gatherings and more! This past weekend we were able to host a community event at the park with a rededication and renaming of the park. The park will be returned to its original name of Mitchell's Grove. The story behind the founding of the park can be found on the plaques located under the tree. They provide fantastic historical information about this area of Putnam County and the park itself. On Friday afternoon, we were able to spend the day with Hometown Elementary School with various educational opportunities and fun activities. That evening was a wonderful community gathering with vendors, hotdogs provided by Hometown Independent Mission Church, and live entertainment by Mason Adkins. Activities were hosted by folks from across Putnam County and this event wouldn't have been possible without them. Hometown Independent Mission Church, Putnam County Library, Zoology Zone, Putnam County Solid Waste Authority, Putnam County CVB, Putnam Wellness Coalition, Putnam County Commission and board volunteers. We look forward to hosting future events at this hidden gem and bringing more to this small community. #PutnamWV #thingstodo #history #community

A little recap of the tree lighting Friday night.

Thanks everyone

A lot of people to thank for making last night possible. The maintence staff for getting the park looking amazing. The tree sponsors. We went from around 17 trees two years ago to 80 this year. All of our partners who add on to the event. The residents for supporting the park and making this event bigger and bigger every year.
