Foster Hotel & Pearl's Lounge One of many hotel and lodging locations owned by Indianapolis civic leader, philanthropist and business titan Andrew "Bo" Foster. Opened in 1948.

Famous guests of Foster Hotel included Muhammad Ali, Nat King Cole and Count Basie.

in 2010 Pearl Burwell-Foster died in Indianapolis. Pearl was the wife of Andrew "Bo" Foster, the hotel owner. Soon after they met & married, Bo named his new business, a lounge, after his bride.

Pearl was born on July 27, 1933 in Willamsborough, North Carolina to Erasmus and Lara Burwell, the 5th of 7 children. Married young, Pearl divorced & moved to Indianapolis where she met savvy businessman Andrew Foster.

Pearl & Bo were married from April 30, 1962 until Andrew's death in June of 1987.
