The primary Apple wedge split in the centre while being hammered in, so I made a feature of it. Three micro wedges of Yew and Bog Oak.

I use a small chisel and then a flat head screw driver to make little V shaped notches. Then just hammer in and glue the micro wedges.

is an Amazon rain tree that is very tough to carve. Waxy and fibrous, like trying to carve a tortilla container
