Wedding/Large Event News✨

Unfortunately we’ll be making some changes to our large event/wedding bookings starting in 2025.

I haven’t worked out the details just yet, but it will either be that we simply won’t offer them anymore or we will be charging a consultation fee after so much communication-
Similar to our current cake tasting policy, this fee would be applied directly to your order if booked with us🤍

Unfortunately, we’ve been burned one too many times this year in these situations and it’s created the need to step back and reassess our priorities and what direction we’re moving in as a small (like literally just myself and sometimes* my husband😅) business.

I will not be taking any more of these orders other than what is already confirmed for the remainder of the year, until I make a decision moving forward !

✨Friendly reminder✨

We are putting a P A U S E on all custom orders for the arrival of our baby next month until OCTOBER 1st, and that date is considered tentative at this time 🩷

I have a total of 4️⃣ custom orders on my books from now until the end of October (that have been booked for MONTHS- some over a year!) and it is going to stay that way, or I fear my family and husband may revolt 💀😅

Thank you again for all of your support along the way and I will be sure to post ANY and ALL random sales I have in the future 🩷✨

No exaggeration y’all… I felt like I stepped into a celebrity’s baby shower when I delivered this cake today!

I seriously wish I had snapped a few pictures myself, because everything was coordinated and decorated absolutely perfectly and the venue (The Arcadian) was beyond STUNNING ✨

Miss Michelle, you have the magic touch, and that sweet baby is already so so LOVED and so spoiled🥹

It’s not very often I get the chance to be around newlyweds just kind of, “doing their thing”, but today my mom and I did have the pleasure of that-

& when I tell you Brian and Laura are made for each other 🥹
They were so sweet just sitting in each others presence, enjoying being newlyweds, and sipping their wine 🤍🍷

That probably has something to do with the fact that I also wanted to do the grazing table myself 😅

However, unlike the cake, I had TONS of help from my parents + husband with this one, with everything from shopping to prepping every single item you see pictured-
& she turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL✨ if I do say so myself

We got to eat our hearts out and it was the most perfect day🤍

My husband and I had our baby shower yesterday and I wanted to take the time to give these small businesses a much deserved shoutout!

🤍 The Hive on Union is the most gorgeous new venue in Jackson! It’s seriously the perfect blank canvas + vibe to make any event into a stunner✨
Thank you so so much Taylor for having us, I can’t get over how pretty your space is!

🤍 Balloon Designs by Anne Marie absolutely KILLED it with this masterpiece of a balloon arch 🎈She took my inspo pics and freaking crushed it!
Like you guys… it was one of those times where the result was 1000x better than anything I found on Pinterest and I could not have asked for it to be any better, because it was PERFECTION✨

🤍 Grace Crowden Photography was supposed* to be a guest at the shower, but spent the entire day taking pictures so we could enjoy ourselves and captured all the details for us-
She was sweet enough let me see sneak peeks all day, and I seriously cannot sing her praises enough and can’t wait to share them to everyone else can appreciate her natural eye and talent 🥹📸

🤍 Miss B’s Macarons for the amazing macarons that somehow I don’t have a single picture of because and I quote, “we’re all too fat and they’re too good so we ate them all before we got any pictures”.
These are my husbands favorite little treat✨ & they made the perfect favors!

🤍 & honorable mention goes to my sweet parents for helping me design table runners, put together flower arrangements, do the grazing table, and make the backdrops the balloons went over.
Their love & support truly knows no bounds!

Being 8 months pregnant means waking up specifically to get to the The Ground-A-Bout right when they open to make sure you get a piece of cake to eat for breakfast…… and one for later.

I legit had to fight the urge to ask how many I could buy and actually give other people a chance to get some.

This cake is by Home Sweet Home Bakery and if you can manage to get there before it’s all sold out, DO IT.

We had one last cake left to post yesterday.
However with the circumstances surrounding Cape’s graduation yesterday, it obviously feels inappropriate.

Instead, I ask all of you to pray for the staff, first responders, parents, families, and especially the students who were robbed of what was up to that point, the most important moment of most of their lives.

Being an alumni myself, I feel like I can truly attest to just how strong and resilient the staff and students are-
they will not let this moment define them.

I can do “pretty” cakes in my sleep-
Not cocky(okay maybe a little!), but it’s just something that comes easy after years of practice and honing in on a certain “look”.

However, every now and then I have to sit with the details I’m given from a client and ask myself, “If I were a 17/18 year old boy, WHAT THE HECK would I want this to look like?!”

Fingers crossed that we nailed it in his eyes because in these big moments, that truly is all that matters!

Hi friends!
Just wanted to share a ✨custom order update ✨

As a most of you know, I’m due in July with our first baby!
& Being that it’s our first means I do not know what the end of my pregnancy will look like, what my recovery will look like, or what life looks like with a new baby!

That being said- this post will mark a HARD STOP on all custom orders, classes, random sales, etc through OCTOBER 1st, 2024. (this is tentative- it could be longer)

If you have reached out recently regarding a custom order, please pay your deposit ASAP to lock in your date!
I will NOT be chasing down deposits/orders at this point, and will not make any exceptions to this hard stop.
All deposits/payments on ALL remaining tentative orders need to be made by Friday this week.

* If you have an order already placed that falls within this date range (through October 1), no worries ✨🩷
I have an incredible support system in my husband and family that will allow me more than enough support to do these orders!

I will still be available through messenger for any previously booked clients during this time as well!

This is simply a hard stop on any new obligations now through the 1st of October!
