Our Story

The Cypher Open Mic Poetry & Soul is a weekly open mic venue featuring local and national artists of all art forms and is the longest running open mic in Jacksonville and 2nd in the State of Florida!

In its 11th year, The Cypher Open Mic Poetry & Soul is a weekly event held on Thursdays in downtown Jacksonville located at De Real Ting Cafe, downstairs, 128 West Adams Street. Every show encompasses a featured local or international performing artist from beginner to professional levels. Monthly, this event attracts new and old businesses, professional artists, audience members and corporations alike in and around the Jacksonville community, throughout Florida and beyond.

These events have previously featured the likes of Tony Award-winning Poet Tamika “Georgia.Me” Harper, Internationally known and Verve Recording Artists, Tank and The Bangas (New Orleans, LA), International Poetry Slam Champions, recording artists and many local artists/performers. It is our belief that we will be a force to reckon with for many years to come!
