Copper and WHAT now?

When Don and I made the decision to construct a venue hall at the Distillery, we knew that choosing the perfect name was crucial. We wanted something that would stand out from the distillery itself but still exude a whiskey-centric vibe. After tossing around a few ideas, we turned to the internet for some inspiration.

The meaning behind our chosen name, Copper & Stow, is quite straightforward. The distillery's origins can be traced back to the use of copper stills (the original one is proudly displayed in our gift shop). Additionally, our research revealed that "stow" refers to the barrel casks safely stored in our warehouse where our bourbon matures to perfection.

Thus, Copper & Stow was officially christened. When it came to designing the interior of our venue, we made sure to incorporate elements of the name. Copper was utilized for our bar tops and fixtures, giving a nod to our rich history. Each barrel table was meticulously crafted by hand using wood from our barrel storage, and even the bathroom sinks were cleverly made from repurposed barrels.

We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere in our new space, where our guests and visitors can experience firsthand our genuine passion for our craft.
